When he says these amps are the predecessor of the other Vox mini amps, is he saying these models existed before and are now upgraded, or did he mean these new models are the progeny of previous Vox mini amps?

Errr... I've seen this guy demoing a darkglass fx, blackstar and now vox, does he keep changing job or what? Cant say I like his style much but each to theit own I suppose..
It's called "daughter" or sub-companies within a "mother" corporation. IE- GM makes Cadillac, Buick, GMC & Chevy There is apossibility where he works for a distributor/middle-man, similar to how Amazon works.
