Scott Evans Thanks, but Dean is actually Belshazzar, Daniel is Hume Cronyn. Daniel was a lot older than King Belshazzar so Daniel was played by an older actor. Hume Cronyn is just a lot more convincing as someone in his 70s and 80s which is how old Daniel was during the reigns of Belshazzar and King Darius (Lee J. Cobb). I wish I watched the three movies James Dean starred in first, James Dean was good at morphing into an older man in Giant.
