My dad was recently paralyzed and cant shoot his bow anymore, so we got the draw adjusted for me and now I love slockin bullseyes and squirrels! We love your videos! You're our hero tim!🇺🇸
Sorry to hear about your Pops my friend but I bet your Dad would love a Tim wells blowgun!! He can still be out there Slockin critters 🇺🇸 Best regards from eastern Oregon ✌🏼😎
The respect and admiration that he has for the critters he claims I think is what keeps most of us coming back to watch the slock master at work. Thanks for the awesome video!!!
Here in Idaho, the Shoshone would build rock blinds along the rim rock to sit and wait for rock chucks. You can still see the remains of their blinds to this day.
Nice video Tim. Made me realize how much i missed my uncle . we use to shoot chucks with the 22-250. When he passed aunty gave me his guns. Planning on going up to chepatchet ri. Slock some chucks. Peace ....
Loved this when i was young me and a couple buddys spent all summer every year bow huntin groundhogs on the outskirts of bloomington was so much fun and taught me the art of spot and stalk
Tim that was some good shooting and missing by this much - but that hide is gonna be awesome when you get it done show it to us again . And thank you sir another great video ..
Only the slockmaster would think " prairie dogs all the way out to a hundred fifty yards with brush and elevation changes with a bow sounds great let's go"! Truthfully at this point I'm surprised Tim hasn't brought out a old school leather sling to hunt with, the kind David used to take out Goliath! If you accidentally get two of anyting when fishing or hunting it's never an accident it is always because of your superhuman outdoor skills
I live in the Upstate of New Yuck. But I was raised in the South and moving back very soon. I’ve never heard of a Rock Chuck before this video. Looks like fun.
@@TimWellsBowHunter I just got a Genesis Gen X and ive practicing for about 5 Months. When i get good i hope to be just like you. This comment made my day. Thank you tim.
That's crazy I've never seen anyone hunt stuff like this with a bow.... Every time I go prairie dog hunting it's with an AR15 in 223, 22-250, or 17WSM but this looks way more fun!!! I'd have to bring more than a dozen arrows though... LOL Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
@@TimWellsBowHunter Yeah things are pricey these days. I shoot a lot from handguns up close to long range with rifles and everything in between on a very regular basis perks of living in the backwoods of Louisiana and having my own range built in my backyard... Fortunately I keep a few cases of ammo on hand for all my guns and I do a lot of reloading so I haven't had to slow down on shooting or buy any ammo since all this BS started. I just got into bow hunting a couple years ago but been watching your videos for a while. Some of the shots you pull off are crazy you make it look way to easy brother!!!
I've found with our groundhogs if you spook them down the hole, walk quietly right over to the hole and be ready because they are just sitting below the opening, face up looking to get slocked!
Tim you are going to have to start doing some European skull mounts of the cool critters you slock along the way! That rock chuck must have some awesome looking chompers! Mike in sunny Florida
7:36 moment had me cracking up. If he used a more lethal head he’da stuck him to the dirt wall behind it. Also did he really have to string him up to a deer hanger? 🤣😂
Id like the go for them with my 17hmr or my 22mag. Cant do so much now that I had a stroke but I bet I get after them good with a magnum rifle. Is that an ok thing out that way or no?
I have hunted with both and can say neither has enough to fully dispatch them. A .223 or 22 hornet are about the min. A .243 is great for reaching out and touching one.
very cool man, ive never heard of a rock chuck, very much like a prairie dog only bigger, would love to see some cooking additions on this channel! show me how to cook up some small game id be grateful for the vids
I've found hunting some varmints with a 28 inch barrel 10/22 that i found used with a big ol 10 inch suppressor works amazing. with some subsonic rounds you cant really hear anything besides the thud of each lil varmint
They are not a rat or praise dog. They are more like a beaver. They are super intelligent. I dont ever kill them. They are too intelligent and awesome to watch
Rock chucks ,groundhogs , wood chucks they’re all Marmots ♥️🇺🇸 I have harvested many rock chucks in Oregon but I have never ate one!? I am going to give it a try. Do you BBQ them whole or bake them in the oven? Keep it Kickass Tim ✌🏼😎
My hunting arrows with broadhead and lighted nock average about $25 each. That arrow demolition was painful to watch. The long range slocking was worth it though.

Tell pops hi
I think crossbows are legal here, thank you Tim!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪🤣
This is why I like varmints as much or more than big game. So many opportunities, so many little challenges. And no seasons. Or limits.

One of the greatest all around hunter I know!
Hunting the smaller critters is more challenging and more satisfying to see just how good you are with a bow. You really are dang good.

Probably a grizzly bear

A whistle pig! We used to hunt them with a wrist rocket and a lead ball.
