This tune has been on repeat for me throughout this pandemic. It turned this tune into a melancholic experience that I appreciate more. I was eagerly awaiting the Denver (Englewood), Colorado show next month and I am saddened that it will be canceled. Come back to Colorado when this passes Tom.
Maybe not for you, but for some old people like me... yes... i still use my old sample-cd's for example Datafile 1-3, chemical beats (yes, a newer one, and not that good) and many others.... ....the magic is to do something new with it, listen to the end of the track....

I love this track, though it makes me incredibly sad, and remember vividly the day it hit UA-cam in 2016. It just seemed to distill everything I was feeling after the referendum result and this update is absolutely the right tune at the right time.
Holy shit man, this track is absolutely incredible, there are so many beautiful combinations of harmony in here. It all woven together in slight little differences that dance around each other in perfect harmonies. I know Tom's getting bored real fast with melody and harmony but, damn he's so fucking goooood at it! Wish there was more of this in his work, 'cause he's the only one that makes a tune sound so epic as this one.
Fucking magnificent and brilliant. I love artists which push their boundaries and expand in what they do, not just copy what's mainstream. Every track feels like a gentle fresh breath of air. Terminal Slam got me to go more in depth inside your work and especially older releases. I loved the classics and but a few listens from certain albums shook me off, I didn't really get it, too much going on. I can't say for myself that I fully get it, but that I understand it a bit more. Sometimes you need to drastically shift on how you see art, and the way it can express and convey emotions. Listening to this again and again for the last 48h. Something grows on me: I love the drumless version but I feel I also need a "Sans Midi" version now :)
This track is my tool to silence me, to let my my brain rest yet remain observing. Whenever it starts to play, I experience relief through relativisation.

This song makes me feel so sad and isolated. It brings back vivid memories of the day the world shut down and it all felt so unknown with the virus spreading across the world. I feel so emotional when I listen to this.
I enjoy this song a lot. The breaks are super satisfying and its accessible for ears that would other wise to turned off by the abrasive nature of a lot of Squarepusher tracks. That being said I think it kind of fails to develop in a way that maintains it being interesting for the whole 6 minutes.

This stuff doesn’t hold a candle to his older works. Good to hear, but it’s no Port Rhombus.
