- A clip from a film made for BBC One in 1971 by my great uncle, the ethnographer Dr Arthur F Partridge. This was found in the BBC archive on VHS tape, and features the comedian Dan Thomas's grandfather.
I thought this was real for way too long 😂.

The bridge was the Ponte de Dom Luís and the church/river are in Porto but was that the burel factory in Serra da Estrela?
Back in the day you had to use 'close enough' footage when presenting Swansea on screen. Every documentary crew who tried getting legitimate footage was run out of town before they could finish setting up their tripod under suspicion of witchcraft.
