Lu Bu got the best outcome out of this battle. He got to use his ultimate attack with the ultimate weapon against the ultimate foe and lost, finally having found someone that can defeat him.
Just like how Boros did against Saitama in one punch man ,for the first time ,he went all out on an opponent,used his ultimate attack ,and has finally been defeated and had been freed from boredom as Saitama but who’s still trapped in that sad boredom circle

I like this version of Thor to be honest, it not a small hammer but a big one to show how strong he is to lift it.
I would perfer if his hammer was abit smaller and better handle but I do agree his hammer looks heavy as hell that makes him look strong I just prefer some small tweaks to make it not look like an absolute joke of a weapon

@@Archonsx To be fair, i think it´s actually the volunds fault, that Lu bu lost that match. His technique might have been even too damn powerful for that Volund to handle and ended up giving in to a true weapon of the gods.

ngl this battle is the battle between gigachads, both respected eachother and enjoyed every single moment
First time for both of them to fight an opponent who can take their 100%
Lubu and Thor were fighting equally for over 10 minutes with lubu getting the upper hand until he destroyed Thors gauntlets most of this fight was cut short both in manga and anime the amount of panels don’t do this fight justice at all considering the length none of the other human fighters could trade at pretty much equal footing for that long Adam had to use his eyes sasaki had to scan jack had to trick raiden had a back n forth brawl but didn’t last as long lubu just walked foward and started clashing for 16 minutes no strategy or nothing

I really liked lu bu too bad when you think about it he went his whole life without being challenged by a worthy adversary at least he got it in death it sucks I'm starting to feel if he was like Adam or sasaki and had actual opponents this would have ended differently but great amv 👍👍👍
Historically Lu Bu was a great but very chaotic warrior, in my case is hard for to empathy with him mostly because his morality were more on the bad side of the scale

Lu bu may have lost but he showed that humans can actually challenge the gods. He gave humanity the spark it needed to go against the litteral gods and that's why in a sense : he won

At least Lu Bu was stronger than Thor without awakened Mjolnir. He tanked „Thors Hammer“ easily (which was Thors strongest attack at that time) and counterattacked. But then some kind of Deus ex machina shit happened and Mjolnir awakens and Thor unlocks „Gerriod Thors Hammer“ and yeah ...
All the humans in this anime are not stronger than the gods. The reason the human can fight on even ground with the gods because they have help from the valkyres who provide them with divine weapons that grant them godly power.
And thor could not go full out befoure mojlir because he would destroy the hammer.
Not really, remember that Thor glove is to protect Mjolnir from Thor swing, so Thor not give his best swing using normal Mjolnir, the problem is Valkyrie doesn't know that, so they use their soul only for destroying that glove, if only the sword is made for countering Mjolnir, we gonna have a more interesting fight.

Say what you want, they both were having fun fighting. Sure, the battle ended with our first loss against gods, but they seemed to enjoy it until the end.

Ik it’s easier said than done but if lu bu cut off Thor’s hand as his hammer was coming to him from behind before he dodged he would’ve had him. Cause then Thor’s hammer would’ve hit himself full force leaving him wide open.
Edit; and it was entirely possible if he kept running and went in for a slash instead of a jumping attack he could’ve bolted (pun intended) behind him after the attack connected.

Lu Bu did felt like the kind of character to take opponents all by giving his all in a clash to see who is impacting harder.

The moment I saw Radagon I felt like I had seen him somewhere before, the two are so similar that it's even weird
Although the animation sucks, I enjoyed it more than Seven Deadly Frames. If they ever make a second season (or just reboot it entirely) then I hope the fighting choreography is better. I was expecting the fight to be Jujutsu Kaisen type and not a power point slideshow presentation. But overall, I give this anime a 6.5/10. It’s not that bad but it isn’t that good either. It’s just average. I hope they improved the animation in the future.
(I wish they included the part where Thor killed a demon who was harassing Brunnhilde.)

I guess I will not watch the anime and stick to the manga. The point of Record of Ragnarök are fights (battle of might, skills, mind and ideology) which are transcended by the art style and animation. But the anime is just average, so it doesn't display the quality of this work.

@@winchan7065 Well, the manga have alot of plot at this point, Jack vs Hércules doesnt have so much action, Shiva vs Raiden mostly of the fights was opacated with the problem with Buda and loki and now Buda vs Zero have more action. The series is 50/50, one part the figths and another the plot.

Yeah it seems like it’s ancient animation. A lot of One shot frames, the fights aren’t fluid or 3 dimensional as more modern anime fights, it’s a a lot better if you read the manga to be honest. This animation is a disappointment, the manga is great though.
