A slow and relaxing stroll down the empty streets with the morning fog and a slight rain pouring down as you listen to this would be a lovely morning.. just like time is slowing down and you can only focus on living in the NOW right there, i would die happy experiencing this, thinking about all the things i've accomplished and all the new and old people i have in my life still today. I take the time to look back at myself as a kid as if i stood infront of that me, bending down and placing my hand onto his shoulder as i can see a damaged person deep inside their cold and still back then confused expression to what has been witnessed (Related to my PTSD) saying to him, "It will be okay. Let this experience become your drive and motivation to make the world a better place for people who suffer from the same situation". Then i hug that old me and i comfort his painful expression of depression and also genuine sorrow resting in his eyes. Facing myself and making sure they know what they can accomplish if they focus on what's not been seen, on what happens behind close door in isolation, that created my strive for better mental health. I face all the old me i've been, gathering them and telling them, life is a challenge, but that is part of everything we do, it's all challenges that we are meant to figure out how to solve and use what we already know for the better good. A lot of people who's seen someone take their own life would usually break, break and not be able to live with it- i broke but i also got courage from the truth behind the action. So my priority became to focus on the mental environment for people to feel like they belong and is a part of a group of people who understands their situation. I always strive to encourage younger people (i'm turning 19 in July) to take the chance to ask for help before it's too late, before you've ended up so deep in the depression that it's no way out. I always will encourage younger people to let the people who offer help to help. Mental health is the most important thing in my life and others well-being is also one that i prioritize, regardless if it's a person at work, or a person in my family or a teacher, every individual deserves a healthy mental health, a reason to be alive and feel like they matter to others. That is all i think about when i listen to this, the accomplishments and personal changes and value on school and the psychological major as well as the spectrum of mental health. Strive to be better, not to be sorry for yourself. I did that, it didn't work out so even if it's easier said than done, there is never too late to make a change even if it doesn't benefit your friends who rather go out and smoke, it matters what you want and if you want to feel happier.. let people offer you the help they can give to work towards that and be open for criticism to your actions.
A long stroll in the neighborhood. The morning fog so beautiful. Not a noise or a shout. A morning of peace. Birds fly across singing their sunrise musical. Yet no sun appears. You walk the sidewalk admiring your neighbors yards. The green wet grass. The bright flowers all shades of blue. Yellow. Orange. A child's tricycle in the drive way. The paper boy flys past throwing the headlines. You glance up to a dark grey sky. Small rain drops dance upon your face. The streets wet. Water flows down the curbs. The rain washes the neighborhood clean. You can smell the fresh air. The wet grass. The wet trees. An old lady comes out and gives you a wave and a smile. You wave back. The grey sky looks so sad but you realize its the small things we pass up and fail to notice. A walk of peace. A walk of thoughts. A walk of gratefulness. A walk of self reflection.
Its the small simple things we tend to not think about or an afterthought among the thoughts in out heads or the sheer busyness of life of us trying to do what needs to be done before the day ends. Every ones and awhile take a break, take a much needed day to slow down. Go out for a walk, admire the smell of the air mixed with rain from a light shower 2 hours prior. Take a deep breath and think. Think whilst your surrounded by nature. At the end of the day it's what we do that makes us happy. Take care everyone, day at a time

Thank you to all my friends who ran away from me. You taught me not to put all my eggs in one basket Thank you to all my teachers who were not meant for teaching. You taught me not to take people at face value Thank you to all my cousins who grew up faster than I did. You taught me that I don't have to be on the same page as others Thank you to my brother who once hated me but now loves me. You taught me that people can change for the better Thank you to my sister who once loved me but now hates me. You taught me that people can change for the worse Thank you to myself. You taught me everything I know
