Nice job! I bought a really beat up one of these 5H26 Seikos on ebay for $25. Bad movement, broken dial feet, corroded hands, faded and scratched bezel insert, scratched crystal. I put in a Seiko-Epson movement attached with adhesive. Hands from a Fossil were similar to the originals and fit the Epson movement. 36.5mm bezel insert from Aliexpress - slightly sanded down the o.d. and it fit perfect. New sapphire from Aliexpress - it's 31.0mm x 2.4mm. The real tricky part has been making a new movement spacer, I am experimenting with some things but so far the watch looks awesome.
I picked up my 1990 5h26 for the high $200.00 range. Yeah, I know, I know! But this watch is almost entirely scratch free, runs great & is all lined up.
Congratulations, it is a fine watch. About pushing the seconds hand back, I use yellow memo sticker paper to keep my other hand out of the way and a pen. It still is a very tricky job for us amateurs.
Cual era la falla del reloj? No lo dices en el video 😊 por lo demás gran trabajo 👍 me aventuro a pensar que el óxido en la tija era la causa de que el reloj no funcionase 😜
Recently got my hands on a mint condition 5Y23-6069 pespi dial. I really want to replace the bezel with a aftermarket one and conserve the original one.
I have the same one I bought in the early '90s would you be willing to fix it it simply doesn't work anymore I don't care about getting anything cosmetic done to it just want it to work
Not doubting your skills but what was wrong with the watch in the first place? Annoying music instead of describing what was being done and why. Useless. At least to me.
Thanks Larry. I just got an old beat up black version of this and this vid has helped me with cleaning it up
Nice job!

My 5H26 is dated January 1990, and it's rated 200m.
BTW love the music!

Lenny and a Seiko. Well, can't go wrong there really.

Oooh that's a great idea! I have yet to bend a hand or a second pinion on a watch I actually care about yet haha
Song was cool. Subbed.
Bought mine in 1989, they 200m watch was first produced in late '88. BTW I hope you replaced all the gaskets when you rebuilt the watch.
Cool find bro! Definitely a vintage. Can’t wait to see the refurbished state 😁. Cool music btw👍🏻
You and me both! The crystal is on the way :)

I would! Send me a DM on my Instagram if you can!
I have one from 1992. It is on its 2nd bezel insert. Now it needs a new one. Struggling to find a replacement. Do you have a good source?
Do you have a website for fixing watches?
Nope! I just buy stuff and fix it lol
You should get more into watch fixing i buy broken watches to practice and fix and its pretty easy
Check out my older videos! I tinker with watches all the time :)
That watch is older than me
You'll look back at this video in a couple of years and realise how amateur you were
great vid, music was terrible
