Shooting someones deathbox in apex is a sign of disrespect and taunting, thats why Aqua specifically looked back at the deathbox and apologized repeatedly because she shot that by accident/for a diff purpose and didnt want the person to misunderstand. It’s solely because she shot the deathbox.

i agree with towa's dome, the one at the elevator so they can push from downstair, and the one in the train rail to support aqua is so good.
Aqua is a fucking monster, but Towa is the bread and butter of the team. One of the best vtuber Gibby you can find.
Sorry, serious question, i dont get how a good dome supposed to be, I seldom uses gibby and i dont really think much aside that its just there to protect you and your teamate. Is there any tips to check?

It’s for dividing the area you fight or protect your team from getting fcked by a 3rd party.
You know the situations where you are too heat up in a fight and didn’t notice the 3rd parties or where you are uncomfortable by how less your cover has.
I don’t play Apex so I can’t say that much.

At 6:38, the dorm Towa deployed was praised worthy because as you can see they are fighting in an open area. Aqua can easily get killed by a 3party and also to prevent others from getting kill steals.

There's something to be said about lacking any and all sportsmanship. In that sense, "madly" shooting at a deathbox would reasonably be construed as rude. But losing 1 shot at it really shouldn't be a big deal in any setting, unless you're running around with a Kraber, which is banned in competetive.

man i never thought Aqua as Valk would be very strong! She's compatible with it, as mobility is one of her greatest strengths and Valk literally lets you fly around.
In this round she freaking *deleted* enemy after enemy but they miscalculated the timing of that ult and the circle leading to defeat lol

Aqua's main will always be wraith cuz she's a god with her in solo. But as valk she has amazing movement and chemistry with her team. It might be the right call for her and suisei to swap to better handle team fights rather than having aqua solo flank. (Although she's still great at it with valk lol)
If they pulled that off it'd be an epic escape
I haven't kept up with apex in a while but dawg her movement in addition the mobility Valk adds is insane
I love the decision to put Suisei on bloodhound because their kit is so simplistic she wouldn’t have to worry about managing abilities that much. Also it fits her role in the team as the back line anchor as bloodhound is best in the back relaying the important fighting information because she’s the least experienced and she’s on the same team as the mad dog.
In terms of fighting potential, they're ready. They're one of the top teams in that area imo. All that's left for them is ironing out the mistakes in decision making. If they can do that, they're guaranteed to place high.
They have bad rotation tbh.. but they could 1v1 any team and absolutely decimate them.

@@qb4097 thats competitive in general. they did have bad rotation, their play is mostly kills not placement. They will get 3rd partied 100% of the time if they dont play smart in later rounds, due to squad saturation. Its normal to have 18 squads in round 4-5
considering their team comps, it looks like they decided that they'll just get as much points as possible with kills rather than try to get placement

- There was more than 3/4ths of the teams left
- Aqua's team eliminated almost every team that died
- Aqua herself killed half of the people that were dead

They like fighting too much, this may have lead to them dying too early. Like this match, they are out of zone, they could have rotated quietly, but they want to fight 3v3 another team and miscalculated and getting 3rd party sandwiched which lead to another miscalculation and died in the ring.

So far, I feel like although Aqua’s impressive mechanical skill is carrying her through alot of these fights eventually her overzealousness/aggressiveness always catches up to her. Because after 4 won fights later and 7 kills or so, she eventually overextends, puts herself into too hectic of a situation and/or get third-partied and lose and you look up and notice they sometimes barely make top 15.
It’s definitely the solo player habits in her but the biggest thing she has to overcome is playing less for kills and instead more conservatively for placement.
makes her fun to watch tho, so perhaps good habits for a streamer lol
She was used to playing ranked where kills gave you tons of points straight away.

Real talk right here, Aqua is the only aggression makes this team so fun to watch, and overall the team in this tournament. And also they even die at 10-15th place but they already secure score that same place to 4-6th places. If you check the score board.. Aqua is seriously a killer in this tournament.

I love them all and they're doing really well given its Aqua's and Suisei's 1st tourney, but I feel that this team still has so much potential though, cuz their playstyles are irregularly unsynced. Aqua is definitely on the hyphy and bloodthirsty side, and she makes real risky pushes at times, but when your team has one of the top 5 entry fraggers in the lobby, then to utilise her fully, your team must be ready to cover and back up the entry fragger much quicker than they do now. No flak against Suisei and Towa especially, cuz Towa is a more calculated and slower paced player but because of this half the fights I see Aqua go in with a good health chunk or advantage on her peeks, she ends up having to 1v2 or 1v3 for 5 seconds or so before her teammates can reach the fight and back her up, making this a 50/50. In the fights where both Suisei and Towa are in position, they literally demolish teams. Only a handful of teams have enough mechanically skilled players to contest them in a proper 1v1 with Aqua, like Pakael, Hinano, Gorilla, Chihiro, KanaKuzu, Reid, Noah, but I'll probably take Aqua over most of them in a straight up 1v1. IMO if they sync playstyles to either they will more consistently get higher placements with real solid kp.
It'll be nice if suichan and towa sama can catch up with aqutan a bit more by the tournament. Aqutan was talking about slowing down a bit too.
last year, Aqua was flamed by antis for being too passive and calculative to the point of mental breakdown, stopped streaming for a while and she didn't enjoy streaming apex any more. She came back a total opposite, but now there's people complainng she's too aggressive, though it's not as bad as last year's solo master period.
I think in this stream Aqua had a 1v1 with Gorilla and won.
@@Otawakun Their team got wiped by vgorilla alone in one of the match. Aqua has lost 1v1 to Noah, Kuzuha, Hinano, Chi-chan...etc too. There's really no point mentioning who beat who in 1v1. Most top players in this tournament has shit on each other
watched the Chihiro PoV on that too and it's not even a straight out 1v1 like when Pakael bumped into Aqua at one point a few days ago. Chihiro had a cooler head and was given information by Kaida (if I got his name right, the gibby) on where Aqua is so she could anticipate where Aqua could come from, whereas Towa didn't give such information despite having the mirror position to Kaida and Aqua is a lot shakier as seen with that Arc Star throw. A true 1v1 in this tournament is really not quite possible, after all it's a team game first.
@@nemofphillius yep, and that's where Aqua's team falls behind for now. She definitely has the physical as some preds, but not the patience and cooperation other has, they also seem to be bad at rotations.

Imo, suisei is a marksman whom is good at trackshots. Rampage is probably her main weapon she practiced during this tournament, you can see she messed up when enemies closing up distance because her lack of mobility (It's good but not enough against pros). While beeing able to hit Gorilla, a pred 10 pts player mobility with her tracking. So caustic probably wouldn't help much with her play style
I love Apex's Japanese dub, but I wouldn't understand squat, which defeats the purpose. Also, what a beast is this onion.
Find out the meaning of the dubs and listen to them often until you remember the keywords and then eventually remember & understand a whole sentence. It's actually one of the non-traditional ways you can learn a language!
you kinda lose the accents in the Japanese dub too. some JP players actually set their voice to English while keep the UI in Japanese.

Why are there always so many teams on so small circles left in her games
This clip is from a custom game (they were practicing for a tournament, and they play custom games with other teams that are practicing for the same tournament) and in these "competitive" matches people play with a lot of caution, focusing on 3rd partying and specially on getting a good position in relation to the ring, avoiding random 3v3s at pretty much all costs.
Anyway, even in not so competitive environments, the Japanese server is known for having this low-paced style of playing the game, plus Aqua is in a relatively high rank, where people take less random fights.

I think Vgorilla is pred player, there are some others that are pred, the bigger issue and why Aqua team did poorly was because they didnt have a coach to help them out (susei had a personal coach but not a team coach), some say because Aqua wanted someone from holo or was super Shy about getting a Coach from other place.

I think it means their armor was destroyed and they are taking HP damage, meaning it's pretty easy to finish them off if you can catch up to them.
Its when enemy's armor is broken, and a sign that they can push to fight before the enemy restore their armor with shield

Watching Nijisanji's Selen play Apex, I sometimes wonder who is better, her or Aqua. Watching these Aqua clips, now there is no dout in my mind of Aqua's superior skills.

If all 7 rounds count, a total of 44 (12 placement, 32 Kill Points). They got 8th place.
If only 5 rounds, a total of 21 (4 placement, 17 Kill Points)
Why did aqua quit playing apex
Oof Towa should've domed earlier and Aqua should've decided to Valk Ult earlier as soon as the zone started closing.
Maybe Suisei should've scanned before pushing to reveal that they're surrounded so that Aqua could've decided to Valk Ult earlier?

It's not a pub it's a custom game between the teams that were practicing for the tournament (though in some of the customs there were random viewer teams because not all of the tournament participants played in the customs)

I think other teams are already aware of this, but StartEnd is not very good when against multiple parties. while they're fighting against one party and another party suddenly jumps in, they got wiped out in many cases. if that happens, maybe it's better if Towa and Suichan "cut the leash" to run away and let Aqutan run wild while giving support from safe place.
This is the case for every team in all of Apex, not just StartEnd.
"cutting the leash" is a terrible idea imo. Since they're actually did better when they shortened her leash by putting her on Valk.
@@suparcamel5852 yes I mean when other teams see StartEnd in the middle of a fight, they are more likely to target StartEnd first. I never played apex or watch professional tournaments so I come up with this conclusion based on streams and clips, one of them is where Aqutan's wraith was the only survivor and kill 5 ppl alone.

The exception is if you're fighting newbies, which none of them in this tournament are.
@@Mixtrelle She's good enough to where she can win multiple separate 1v1's against most players (like in the clip you mentioned), but if any full team in the tourney decided to push all at once, she likely would be destroyed immediately.
Also, I don't know if you're aware, but there are actually multiple players in the tourney capable of doing the same, so I don't think "cutting the leash" is ever a good idea as long as her teammates are alive.
@@suparcamel5852 tbh I don't actively search for this tournament's clips, they only happen to appear on my recommended and I click only the ENsubbed ones. streams that I have watched are only Startend's, Matsuri's, and Roberu's. but I do know other teams are equally strong, otherwise champion team would be the same for every round lol. idk which part of my comment implies that Aqua is the best player in this tournament. I just gave a random idea from non-player perspective and I'm fine if that's a terrible one haha

In the scrim match, because the other teams are very good(unlike previous customs with fans), it is harder to fight and win consecutively without getting 3rd partied or flat out just lose the fight(Reid, Noah team both got them on 3v3 head on fights).
The main focus of the tourney matches is survival first, even pro teams avoid unnecessary fights
I think their decision to engage the team under the bridge (it was Kuzuha's squad) was alright considering the info they had. That area under the bridge is pretty strong and it's inside the ring. There's too much uncertainty beyond that area (15 squads left!), so flying is the riskier move. The timing of the ult was alright, but the problem was that they got pressured by that arcstar.
Unless they had Wraith's portal, or they were able to scout out the area with a Crypto minutes earlier, there wasn't really much else less riskier they can do in that situation.

Ammo issue
You can see many times how she's always out of ammo in late game whenever she's using Devotion. Energy ammo is very scarce somehow (I forgot the reason).
Yeah, her best skill is definitely tracking but I understood she changed to WM/PK cause it saves up slots for heals and nades. It’s also hard to find energy ammo endgame since hardly anyone uses those.
I think she figured out her loadout after yesterday’s scrims though. She’ll probably run Devo/WM early game and switch to PK/WM endgame if she can’t find energy ammo.
