- This clip of "Safe in the Arms of Love" leads off with a humorous moment between Kathie Baillie Bonagura, Michael Bonagura and their daughter Alyssa Bonagura who at the time of this recording was riding the high of her song "Make Your Own Sunshine" being used as the focal point of a Lowes television commerical.
Quick to remind Alyssa, Baillie and the Boys had their own success in the 80's with their vocals on a couple of Burger King commericals as Kathie, Michael and Alan LeBoeuf provided vocals to the Have It Your Way ads.
Baillie and the Boys, joined on guitar by daughter Alyssa proceeds in to their 1989 album cut "Safe in the Arms of Love" off their second RCA album Turn the Tide. Never released as a single, the song became a favorite cut by other artist including Michelle Wright, the Gail Davies led group Wild Choir and later by Martina Mcbride.
Baillie and the Boys original members Kathie, Michael and Alan came together in the Bonagura home in Franklin, TN to host a special 25th Anniversary of their RCA debut self titled release that led to a string of several top ten hits and numerous TV appearances. Still recording, writing and touring husband/wife duo Kathie and Michael have seen their daughter Alyssa Bonagura rise to Nashville attention as a singer/songwriter on her own.

Safe In The Arms Of Love was originally recorded by the band Wild Choir on RCA in 1986. I know because I was the lead singer....

The Wild Choir performance of this song along with the far superior production is one of the biggest missed hits by country radio of the 80's

I am more familiar with the Michelle Wright version but this one is great.
I absolutely adore "Turn the Tide" album!!! I had it on cassette and now on cd...They are awesome!!!
very same song Martina McBride had a huge hit with in 1995 on her Wild Angels CD.
I preferred their version of this song, although the Kennedy Rose version was pretty cool too.
