Is it a fact that Garcia has been quoted as saying Kimock was his favorite guitar player shortly before his death? Ive seen people saying it in comments, one even said Jerry called him The Little Roaster or something like that. This was some time ago so I can't point anyone to one of these comments, but I have done a short search on the topic and wasn't able to confirm anything. I doubt anyone will see this, but if you do and have a link or something, I'd appreciate it.
I believe it is as I recall reading it or hearing it...definite facts though as it was a shame he or even Hidalgo were not chosen for the 50th over Trey.

It was a survey of GP’s board members. One question asked them to name the favorite unknown guitarist. Garcia named Kimock and Frank Gambale. The nickname Little Toaster (not Roaster) came from his fans.
