Drainage job working well shame the EA don't clean their rivers out is Barry free to show them how to do it. Thanks for a great update really enjoyed it 👍
Interesting video with Sandy! Can’t wait to see the final edit! Impressive flow of water through the cleared out dykes, it almost feels like it should be an instructional video for the EA!
It’s fine, they don’t go back to their yard between demos and would need to was it on the farm where the demo has just finished. There’s not many people as fussy as us and if it hadn’t of rained when the machine arrived, we’d of taken it in the field as it was.
Another good update Andrew. I can remember when I was young, Anglian Water were responsible for the local rivers. They were kept " clinically clean", maybe too much but they looked after the rivers. Then it was NRA who were responsible and as time has gone by and now it is the EA there are more and more trees allowed to grow on the water side of the river banks, which collect debris and slow the flow when in flood. I know there has to be a balance but surely they can see the problems we all face when rivers are not maintained correctly. On a positive note , our local IDB do a cracking job of looking after the water ways they are responsible for. Thanks Andrew, looking forward to Sundays update.
14:47 great content again came past your farm today from what I could see from the road some nice fields and some bare looking fields just a shame about the rivers and dykes unfortunately farmers got stopped from doing work on ditches many years ago and now look at the mess of them and just look at how much you have increased the volume of water your ditches can hold by doing some maintenance work and it shows that if you keep them maintained the land drains generally work better
1:30 - You're going to need a bigger culvert mate! River Bran(d?)t - I see what you mean. We had river flooding here on the River Leven (Loch Lomond to River Clyde) but happily only on the water meadows.
Hi Andrew, in one of your videos you showed your concrete precast grain walls installed in-between the 2 flanges of the columns. How did you get the panels in between the columns? Thanks James
I've seen 15% down reported, but I think that maybe based on the area not cropped this year, but I suspect it'll be more, lots of what has gone in has wet areas that are not doing well so presumably yields will be down too. I'm no farmer though.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard I am a small livestock farmer, so I will be watching the prices and supplies. I have seen it on Facebook barley and wheat price increases.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard i take it you will be giving updates on the crops prices, and the situation. I am seeing bits of news about it on Facebook as well.
As always a good interesting video, why can't the previous user of the demo machine not pressure wash it off before it left their farm. It would be the right thing to do.
Best of lucky to Steve in his continuing recovery👍
A great job Barry did of that drainage puts the Environment Agency to shame . Thank you for the update.
Water running off/thru drains shows how much that good work was worth it, great catch up!! ;)

Great video again. All the best to Steve
Cannot believe they didn’t wash the weaving machine before they brought it to you

Some great behind the scenes footage and acting skills Andrew! 👌👌
Some great filming from your side!!!
Another great update Andrew , all the best to Steve in his recovery .
😊👍
I have learnt soo much from Steve over the years. I would like to send him Very best wishes for a speedy complete recovery.
Thanks Pip, will pass that on.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard Thank you Andrew. Keep up the excellent work 👍👍
Cheers Pip.

Most IDB’s do. The nra needs to come back.
The best to Steve and recovery.

Exactly but the ea don’t see that.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard does not help when central government cuts the budget funding
It does t help when the EA waste money like I featured last week by accepting a quote 5 times higher than the local idb could do it for, 😡😡

That pipe will cope!

The measurements have to be spot on but you sort of twist them in. It helps if the columns are deep as that gives more room.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard thank-you Andrew
Any news on the duck and her eleven eggs that nested by the pub.
Not yet, will get some for next week,
Great video
You should be so proud you hav done an amazing job
Good video Andrew, shame leaving fields idle but hopefully better days ahead
Hopefully, it’s a very tough year.
A great video Andrew, how much will it affect food supply across the country with regards to crops not being put in the ground.

Difficult to quantify but if we have 38% not cropped, others will have too. Straw shortages another concern for livestock farmers.

Not good for every sector.

all that is wrong with this country😊
How much rain did you have over the weekend Andrew? We escaped it all in SW Lancs for a change!
21mm. It’s put us back about 2 weeks.
23mm of rain with me Saturday dinner to Sunday dinner got stop sometime
☹️☹️
The flooding reminds me of the Somerset levels the EA were at fault then
How is this river Andrew in Australia channel you have been to Australia and see Murray River is river
There’s big rivers and little rivers in the UK!
So why aren’t the EA doing there job. You need to ask them a direct question and see what they say
When will you all realise it's deliberate policy? All part of the elites plan.

Demo machines go from farm to farm so not always easy. I don’t mind, we’re fussier than most!
great stuff
Lazy EA people
