At least the RWOA normally has a few months of pre-planning behind it. FR videos are done usually in a day or so because they need to be out before another episode releases and becomes potentially irrelevant.
Its ok man, this video was great as usual! As a Jujutsu Kaisen fan i hope Mappa keeps the quality but at least the best parts of the early story are a couple of chapters away from now so hopefully they will be neat
Imo after a certain fight with Gojo that’ll determine how big it’ll get. If they nail that fight I can guarantee it’s popularity will skyrocket.
I'm excited to see how they do nanami and yuji vs mahito but that gojo fight I'd the first showcase fight of the series. It has rui vs tanjiro potential

It has its comedic moments, but I definitely find it to be one of the most serious/morbid series in shounen right now. Especially in its most climactic moments
Honestly I am loving the girl introduced on the last episode, In fact she hasn't hit a single one of my female character pet peeve, no oversexualization, no standing on the sidelines praying for the sucess of the protagonist. Also I a fan of a badass female character wearing a long skirt

@William Omaree Thomas That's good, that means you enjoy female characters/women that are sexy (nothing wrong with that, it's only natural), but don't like it when they're reduced down to JUST sex (aka, sexual subjectification vs sexual objectification). A lot of people don't know/understand the difference.

The author has stated that a source of inspiration was Tite Kubo's Bleach. You can kinda see it since it feels like the very early part of it.
He's also heavily influenced by Yu Yu Hakusho, HxH, Naruto and One Punch Man
Yuyu Hakusho & Hunter x Hunter were also his inspirations

Yes! A million times yes! The animation has been on point lately and after reading the manga the power system really is reminiscent of HxH but with curses.
There are some cliche elements sure but if youre a shounen fan then of course you expect that.

Damn, GR having high expectations really does say a lot about the quality of an anime!! As a huge Jujutsu Kaisen fan I'm super hyped since I think that the anime has the potential to become even greater than the manga!
It has been a really long time since I've been so invested in a shonen series. I really hope the anime does it justice. Each arc has been better than the last one in the manga so far. And nearly the whole cast is pretty likeable, not just the trio.

The big three was a title made for One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach. That's like saying Naruto, Sasuke, and Saukra are the new Sannin.
Jujutsu Kaisen can absolutely be the next big thing. The manga takes quite a darker spin on your typical shounen, is really well executed, and diverts a bit from the classic formula, I'd say more than something like demon slayer or hero academia does.

I love the action in this manga its so easy flow to look at you can see how each punch lands where its coming from.hope it kept it like that now anime.
I mean the dude gave Kaguya sama seasons certified frosty so I take his recommendations with a grain of salt. But I agree with him sometimes, like this time. I watched Jujutsu Kaisen and it gives solid Bleach vibes and it's animated by fuckin' MAPPA so honestly super hyped for the anime and it's seasons to come.
I’m very invested with this show and currently reading the manga. And boy it doesn’t disappoint trust me the 4 ep are not even the tip of the iceberg I literally didn’t sleep cause I wa reading it and couldn’t stop. I can say it will go on as another great anime for the books next with the great ones like Bleach, Naruto, Dead Note, BNHA, AOT etc

This is my favourite manga at the moment. I'm so happy that I picked it up last year and now it's getting animated. At least something good going for 2020.

Just to add a few, the series was supposed to be cancelled in its initial run. But, something happened along the way that changed the perception and the series continued.
The reason why is because of another series first volume sold worse then its first volume.

Pretty sure this was the next big thing before the anime even aired. The manga already sold extremely well and it’s just gonna sell even better. And the anime is already huge. So yeah the series is already the next big thing

It might as well become. Been hearing good things from the manga for a long time and MAPPA is doing an excellent job. Good to see these not too conventional shounen exploding in popularity,even though at heart its still the shounen we all love

Everything is good and all but, MAPPA has quite the reputation in my eyes, so.. this Anime better not lose it's consistency midway, otherwise the Shonen would lose it's Flavour.

@@ska4666 One Punch Man season two was a completely different situation, the reason why One Punch Man season two was as bad as it was is because the Production Committee only gave JC Staff about 5 months to animate it which is insane, as for Jujutsu Kaisen MAPPA was given a very healthy schedule to make it look amazing.

I am not into battle shounen types, but damn was the 1st season good. The manga readers are telling me that it's just the tip of the iceberg, and I'm not gonna read it, cuz they said that the anime thus far is going better than the manga

Kaisen's strength in the manga is the lovable and crazy cast. Each one is unique both on the surface and as you get to know them. I hope the animation continues to be amazing like it has been.
Based on people who read ahead, i would say yeah this could be the next big title, AOT is on its final run so is MHA and FW just finished its part so there is a need for something new and i can see this join with other recent shounen jump titles making a splash like Promised Neverland, Demon Slayer, Dr Stone etc.

What dragged me to continue watching this series and the most interesting is Sukuna's Crush on Megumi, LOL. I'm afraid for the animation quality on the succeeding set of series, but the way they did Kimetsu no Yaiba I am still positive on the consistency or improvement of the animation.

It’s a naruto + bleach plot w/ hunter x hunter power system. Manga is good but it’s like demon slayer or seven deadly sins; you can’t really stretch out the story because there’s only 1 prime antagonist. Great animation so far, can’t wait for the gojo fights and backstory.
As a manga reader, I find the manga fine, not bad but nothing really stand out to me, except maybe the latest twist and that would be only if the author stick to it, if not there will go a chuck of my respect for him...

Honestly, JJK has all of the pieces it needs to become the next big thing. All this series needs is an arc where it properly puts all of these pieces together, capped off by an awe-inspiring fight. MHA has this with its tournament arc and Deku vs Todoroki, and Demon Slayer has this with the Spider Mountain and Tanjiro vs Rui.
TLDW: Yes, I went in expecting very little and was blown away. I know there are going to be the usual anime hipsters who hate shonen commenting but I have to say even after 600+ shows I still like a good shonen and this is set up to be one of them.
I'm from the future and I can tell you jujitsu kaisen was able to pullout a black flash.

The author of Chainsaw man have bad habit of f-ed up the middle to the end part though, look no further than Firepunch. even right now Chainsaw Man have been tilted quite a lot to that bad habit.

Tower of God had some scenes which were cut and The God of Highschool had really rushed pacing.....
But judging from the first 3 episodes, Jujutsu Kaisen is 100% faithful to the manga and it’s pacing is perfect along with it’s animation and soundtracks.....

You can't look at Megumi in Episode one summoning those hounds and telling me that nothing about that looks like ninjutsu.
Secret societies that hunt demons and monsters have a lot of similarities to ninja organizations in fiction, hence the comparison. It's not a perfect comparison, I'll admit, but it's close enough :)

Um that still means the release and therefore production of around 16 AOT episode will overlap with the remaining 16 eps of jujutsu kaisen...

I really like jjk and I think it has a really solid story (after reading the Shibuya incident) .
But the thing I don't like is the introduction.
Yuji is a character who always lived a normal life then becoming a Shonen protagonist and he was like "OK" , didn't asked further questions , because his grandpa said him so.
When yuji died , Megumi and Nobara weren't really impacted by his death. They only spent 2 missions together and least then 3 weeks , they have no reason to be sad except that yuji saved them.
nowadays you can just know the answer by looking at the title, art style, and premise, and I can assure you, this won't be remembered by next year

Jujutsu kaisen is very faithful to it's manga, and they outdid it right, as a manga reader.

just to give an example, what's the selling factor on this one? usually there's a marketable thing that stands out at first sight, MHA has superheroes, Naruto had Ninjas, One Piece has pirates, Bleach failed, and Demon Slayer says it in the title. This one reminds me of Bleach a lot, difference being they added a highschool to the setting.
This show reeks of seasonal stuff, that's what the average viewer will think. The manga is irrelevant, the question in the video is will it become a big shonen pillar, and I honestly think no it won't.
@@Rexodiak Demon Slayer won't be also. It's beyond average alongside with mha. The characters are more cringe than Jujutsu Kaisen. The jokes sometimes are very forceful and it doesn't make a good shounen anime. The plots are also beyond average.
I totally agree about the not having a single character you don’t like. I enjoy them all and like the chemistry between the three. I got hooked.

The anime doesn't have cute and chibi characters so it wont appeal to normies as a shounen. This more mature character design and atmosphere just doesnt appeal to masses.
It may not add anything three episodes in, but um...it's a game changer. The plotting, foreshadowing, and interesting twist on tropes the manga has displayed are phenomenal.

well, then that doesn't really matter. jujutsu kaisen, if it gets popular, would still be "the next big shounen". Chainsaw man probably won't get an anime until long after jujutsu kaisen season 1 is finished airing. THEN, it is possible Chainsaw man will be the next big one after jujutsu kaisen.
I only started watching this because I saw so many fans of manga waiting for this adaptation. I also made a mistake of going through comments where some asshole posted a picture of a spoiler about one of the character dying. It sucks but it made me more excited for the series. Can't wait for more.
i agree i love all the characters so far. The animation for the ending and intro are so charming.
I don't read the manga but it kind of seems generic so far and in the 3rd episode the humour came out bland for me and I'm not a huge fan of the main girl she reminds me of a rubbish version of noelle from black clover so far.
Well next week's episode is gonna get dark and intense
