    Four challenges on this day two of Grimpday 2023.
    A speedy climb on a mining tower, then we head indoors to lift an explosive barrel of 250kgs while keeping the forces on the anchors minimal, we go scrambling through loose rubble on a steep inclined hill for some low angle rescue and we finish with using the RAFA anchor to descend and rescue a casualty with a Conrest stretcher.

    For almost 10 years I have been using Dapro Safety Workwear. They were the first company I encountered who made coveralls specifically designed for rope access. Pockets in all the right places, longer than standard legs and more room to move you arms. Great quality and durability too.

    Nice to see everyone using twin/shared tension systems. We tend to use one person operating two devices and a second person (the tailer) feeding the ropes to them to help keep the tension even and as a backup. Interested in your views on that.

      I think that is the safest way. Two persons operating the system

      @@TheRopeAccessChannel to be clear, one person on both devices and a tailer feeding them rope? Or one person per device?

      Apologies for the very late reply. It think it is best to have one person operating both devices so they have complete control over the speed. The second person should feed them the rope. If we do one person per device they will be constantly adjusting to each other giving less control in my opinion .

    Could you compere the "Edelrid Fuse" to the "Petzl ASAP Lock" in a video? Price and function is very identical on paper, but you with your experience for sure know important differences in practice :)

    Hii I have a question. While ascending we use croll . We also use jumar. So my question is croll itself a complete connection point or jumar and croll together makes complete point?

    • @TheRopeAccessChannel
      @TheRopeAccessChannel  8 місяців тому

      That depends on the view of the industry, company standards, equipment used and manufacturers recommendations or guidelines.
      In my view a croll is a complete point when in suspension and with certain harness/chestascender combinations you want to use a jumar connected to a cowstail when in motion

    Question,they are allowed to climb with one rope because the structure is considered second point of attachment?

    Is it real to find a job as an industrial climber in Netherlands, if I don't speak Dutch but English only?
