Since Macbook height is 0.6 inch, half of the product dimention, and I have no idea if the dimention is including the padding or not. Asking this because I have an usb-c external monitor (15.6 inch) as thick as the laptop itself, that I would like to carry around.

Yes u can, but best put some kind of foam or cloth divider
