This series was a big part of my childhood. 🧡 It’s still one of the best game series ever next to ratchet and clank, sly cooper, spyro, little big planet and more.
oh my god just started watching and you're explaining every detail THANK YOU! been looking for a video series on jak and daxter that would satiate my need to replay the games without actually replaying them. This is gonna be fun!
As someone who can aprecciate the entire Naughty Dog library (yes, even The Last Of Us 2, lol), i actually agree. Not just because my favorite games were the ones made by the classic team (Jason and Andy were just geniuses), but also because imagine if the modern Naughty Dog had those guys still present. It would probably be an even more legendary studio than it already is. I think only Neil Druckmann (Jak 3) and Charlotte Francis (Crash 1) are the only people that are still there from the classic era. Its a shame that Evan Wells who was in Naughty Dog since Crash 3 left the company recently.
Despite being a big-shot back in it's hayday and still meaning allot to many gamers, it's kinda surreal and unfortunate how present day pop-culture kinda ignores it, yet doesn't totally deny it's ambitious legacy either (take the collectors editions for example). Of course you'll find a click-baity/mediocre "was it any good" essay video once in a while, but it's still nice to know the legacy of this distinct i.p. still carries wait for many who grew up playing them like I did - Weather it be a nostalgic wow-factor, belief in them being genuinely good games (which i admit, is true.), or inspiring creations of their own in some way. - And Those pc-port guys (OpenGoal) make keeping it alive and accessible even easier. Support 'em~
I loved this series, the first game was magical, the sound track and humor were amazing.
You also remind me a lot of my big sister.
This series played a huge part of my childhood. Even with their inconsistencies and issues, I'd still say its the best video game series ever

I know that feeling too well haha. As a kid jak 2 with it's few checkpoints made me cry sometimes xd. Nowadays it feels kinda eazy though
