donovan0666 I got it started already and I found out it has a very loose timing chain and I am pretty sure the oil rings on the pistons are bad on mine
@@randombuilds8837I had the same issue, got it bored to 74.5 and put a wiesco in it and I have a manual chain adjuster so I added a little tension to it
@@randombuilds8837 Did you get any further on your project? I like the manual adjuster, and the getting it bored or just honed makes it run like new with a new set of piston and rings
That is sacrilegious to put that carb on this quad! You obviously don’t know about motors and 4 strokes or this quad at all! I spent months bench flow and stacking and building my own carb to get the performance and power I get from mine! I also can ride 24% longer on a tank of gas than the stock setup! Anyway you are buying a pinto trying to get it to at least a Porsche with your buy when to e original is already a Porsche ready to be turned in to a Ferrari power and sipping like a old school vw! If you still have the original carb rebuild and tune and use it the way the quad needs man! Or just send it to me I’ll keep it!

Just finishing an 01 it is coming out amazing so far

I am running rich, so I am trying to figure that out?
Okay I am new to this should I get a manual chain adjuster ? And get it bored as well

so you just take off the clamp take the carb off get a new clamp put the carb on and tighten the clamp?
what carb did you buy for it? please if you can provide link

if there are no major scratches just get it honed. If you have an auto adjuster, then you are ok unless it's not working then just order a manual.
