Bro we are always happy to see people coming to our country, the combined efforts of the people help the country improving. Specially people like you interested in blending into the culture and learnings, props to you for choosing this place which is not perfect, we have a lot to work on, our bounds with the world just gives us strenght. New generations of ticos will come, even more combined, with closer bounds to every country and with a cultural mix, we expect to transmit good things to the next generations like the love for the nature and happiness some of us learned from the indigenous and the abuelitos, we also expect to learn from other cultures to improve, like being more proficient on certain things. Ticos are not having too many kids, next generations are gonna be super international haha, and that's our history right there, we're mix of mixes. We prevail by increasing our bounds with the people around the world. Together we stand, divided we fall.....buena nota bichillo, ojalá encuentre acá la buena vibra por años y años🤙🏻 You really match the vibe of the country, relaxed lifestyle of minding your business and apreciating simple things, that's it! The recipe for happiness 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
I met a merchant marine captain in Florida, Captain Dave he was taken a 80' tugboat to Costa Rica and converting to a fresh catch restaurant. He told me that he owed a forty thousand acre parcel. On the Pacific coast North of the Panama Canal.Linda Carter (SuperWoman) owned the first 40 thousand acre parcel and his property was just North of hers.A really nice guy Captain Dave he would be in his seventies now I'd imagine.
@@Chenzaloon I asked him too.If I ever make it down to Costa Rica how can I find you. That's when he told me about Linda Carter owning the first 40,000 acre parcel from the Panama Canal and he owns the next one.And everybody knows him, just ask around for Captain Dave.Anyhow I'm sixty something now and he's into his seventies.I sure hope he is doing well.He had a lumber mill and timber that was resistant to saltwater worms and lots of other ventures in this region. What a Guy ✌️💙🌊⛵
I looked it up. CR gained independence in 1821. Great video and yes, amazing view in Palmar Norte. The eucalyptus trees are spectacular and that park is lovely. Is that part of Palmar Norte? I loved the old fashioned pulperia building-it actually made me think of the United Fruit Co. era- as well as the little house you pointed out in town at the beginning of the video. I really, really love old architecture like that and the feeling that it gives you of going back in time, as you say. As things everywhere get more developed, it's always amazing to stumble upon little pieces of the past. Thanks for sharing!!!
We got independence but not only Costa Rica, all of central america, and México, Central america became one country because under Spaniard rule all of central america was the province of Guatemala some decades after we divided into different states. That's why the flags are similar 🇸🇻🇳🇮🇭🇳🇬🇹🇨🇷....and then long after panama joined the subregion of central america... 🇵🇦.....the reason why we're a different región than North and South América is due our history and the fact that we were a Federative Republic. Also like 2 Centuries afterwards we still share some characteristic words, foods, celebrations, etc
@jaime8317 Guanacaste also obtained independence from Spain in the same date... it stayed as part of Nicaragua for a couple of years and then decided to join costa rica
Chen, debería ir a visitar algún grupo indígena.
Aww had I known you were in Palmar Norte I would have come to see you! I'm near San Vito, not that far away. You could always come up here to check it out and I can give you a tour! :)
1936, holy fuck that building is older than the constitution haha. If you wanna see the oldest church of the country it's on Nicoya, i think its like from thr 1600's, the floor seems roman style, moroccan front door and mayan side doors (chorotega indigenous were mayan related)
what of life peaceful no shooting , beautiful green is hot but never like Arizona , then you guys order pizza to eat it by the river , no hatefulness people respond with kindness.
