  • UNODC recognizes the significant harms caused by transnational organized crime (TOC) and works to combat TOC on the basis of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC).
    The video explains UNTOC and its Review Mechanism, as well as ways in which non-governmental stakeholders can engage in the UNTOC Review Mechanism, such as through Constructive Dialogue and the Self-Assessment Questionnaire.

    How can South Africa use this convention to address the crisis organised crime threatening development, livelihoods, human suffering. Extortion, Money Laundering and corruption are the biggest threats and how capacity building at grassroots levels be instituted.
