How ichigo acts after this arc is kubo telling us he changed. But nothing in the fullbring arc rlly showed how the result of that change occured.
@@Blackmustache870 what are you on about? The entire Arc systematically breaks apart Ichigo's character from taking away his powers to taking away the friends he went through the entire series for and you suggest it didn't do enough to justify his change?
@trutyatces8699 no because there needs to be a cause for his change. He suffered for most of the arc without his powers and friends, only for all of that to figuratively be given to him on a plate. Ichigo was STILL struggling with his reason for getting his powers back up to when ginjo took them. So at that point, ichigo had no concrete idea on what he wanted. But thru getting it all back only to solve fights, he develops? How? He learned nothing from that experience. Nothing fueled his development. Suffering doesn't cause development. It's just a change in his life.
Whoever said this is the worst arc I personally think you need help and whoever told him this y'all were basically tryna set him up this is a great arc
I said this before and I'll say it again. Shonentards only care about hype and fights. Literally. So when an arc that actually focuses on cooking it's story rather than having two randoms battle it out, they are VERY quick to hate and spread misinformation about it because there's nobody fighting to the death That's partially the reason why they hate the Great Saiyaman arc from Dragon Ball Z. To them: Hype and fights>>>storytelling
i dont think kubo hates the anime, i think he hated how the first arc was adapted because it pushed ichigo and rukia more and cut out his school life as a result
He had a lot of issues not just with the first arc, but SS arc and the start of the Arrancar arc as well. He had essentially no input on the adaptation before then. From interviews it sounds like the anime starting to insert the mod soul characters into the canon story is what made Kubo start to make demands about how they did things. That's also why no other fillers has any affect on the main story and isn't even trying to make it seem like it is a part of the same timeline.
the anime needs a remake to cut most of the filler out apart from like the menos woods and to slim everything down so arcs arnt so god damn long and fights are not breaking up and we dont have the same 3 mins playing over
11:30 This doesn't change the show, because it wasn't presented in it and I don't believe media outside the thing you are watching changes the story you are experiencing, but when SS was watching Ichigo, at any time Central 46, or the nobles therein, could have ordered Ichigo's powers be suppressed and an assassination squad sent to kill him. There is also in-world precedence for Central 46's lack of morals, most notably Tosen. I forget *exactly* how much they say in the anime but it was a member of Central 46 who killed his best friend and had no charges because he was a noble, the nobles suppressed Kenpachi's power by limiting his training because they wanted to make sure that they could kill him if he ever went after them, and then there is the vague reason that Ginjo wants to, "Get revenge on the soul reapers who betrayed me." They don't focus on it, but the aristocracy is so messed up in Bleach, and so while maybe his friends in the Court Guard squads would probably half ass it if an order ever came down from Central 46, but it would mean they couldn't contact him, he wouldn't be allowed into SS, and he would likely have to hide from assassins for the rest of his life. Just remember how harsh Aizen's sentence is, and they already have him captured.
People calling it the worst arc honestly don't know anything about world building and narrative. Especially when the Bount Arc exists. The actual worst arc.

Bleach isn't the same as the other big 3 and dragon ball. While Luffy, Naruto and Goku's story is about becoming the best and strongest. Ichigo just wants the power to protect his people. Bleach's story is about him discovering his OWN powers and ACCEPTING them one by one. Realizing all of these are part of him so it's totally ok to use them for his goal of protection.
Probably my personal favorite arc so far (although I would consider the next arc to be “better”). Only thing I can think of that’s “wrong” with it is that Kubo was unable to fit in everything he wanted. Ginjo’s backstory in both the anime and manga is incomplete. The entirety of bleach was Ichigo struggling with his powers, what are you talking about? 💀
Obviously we never saw him struggle with his powers before because he didn't need to lmao.
Something tells me that losing them would be a big enough catalyst to start thinking about them differently which is...the whole point of the arc.
That would be the case if we just ignored all the times ichigo did have issues with his powers
