- 👟 cannot resist the urge to solve a math question and start solving it with logarithm on his way to the final boss fight for a solid 10 mins (and I shorten it into 2).
It's just a normal day of Shv Yaminerd. 🤓🤓

the fact that it was borthering him so much he had to solve it is freaking hilarious 😂 gosh i really dont like math
Its the curse of having problem-solving skills. As a person who lacks reading and grammar, I can relate.
it's funny because this could've been solved just by substituting 15 in the second equation with 2^x
🤓☝️
that was what i was thinking too lmao
I used to teach highschool maths for a bit, and I did it the same way Shu did 😅
(thankfully, I was just a substitute teacher because someone quit mid-term, so it was only for a few months.)
@ilunaticlipper I kinda did something in between, still a bit less fiddly than change of base IMO but I feel dumb for not seeing the obvious substitution. I think I just got tunnel vision because the first thing I noticed was that there were powers of 2 in both equations so my mind was just like "USE LOG BASE 2!!!":
2^x = 15
log_2(2^x) = log_2(15)
x = log_2(15)
15^y = 32 = 2^5
log_2(15^y) = log_2(2^5)
y * log_2(15) = 5
y * x = xy = 5
Considering I haven't had to do any heavy lifting with logarithms in like 15 years, I'm just happy I got there in the end. Still fun all these years later!
@@HandoruKiipaoo i did it like this:
2^x=15
(2^x)^y=15^y
2^xy=32
2^xy=2^5
xy=5
But yea substituting it would've been easier and faster lol.
This guy is funny, talented AND is good at maths??!
He's the man
Shu our man 😂
Ikr? He is super rare 😂❤
And according to Millie he's hot too. So the full package
This is like super simple maths tho 😅
Shu needs to do a math stream where he solves everyones math homework 😭😂
Homework help stream lmaooook
URE SO RIGHT LMAO
Fr lol, i would still watch it even maybe i dont understand
His writing is neat and clean, easy to understand😂
And he's writing all of these with mouse. 🤣
He could be a math teacher
@@sotanghon9841if he was my maths teacher I’d understand everything perfectly bc of how clearly he’ll explain it and I’d also ace maths exams
he got that mathematician rizz
Seeing the law of logarithms for the first time in like 8 years is crazy tbh
it's 5 years for me lol. and as someone who was never good at it, I'm just looking at the screen with my head empty
Meanwhile I never learned logarithms lel.
shu is so impressive
He’s probably Asian
I've never seen a person make solving math so attractive. Shu, why are you doing this to me?
I don’t understand math at all but he is hot
You could just substitute 15 for 2^x and solve from that as 2^x = 15. So it would be log base 2^x of y = 32. Then you can use the base change formula to solve from that. NGL for not solving logarithms for a while, he did a pretty good job.
How do you even?!?!!!!
@@pepperwithalilsaltmath magic bois
(2^x)^y = 32
2^(xy) = 32
xy = log base 2(32) = 5
This works too, right?
1:20 I love the way he talks like he talks to an idiot who knows nothing about math, can this man teach me please I suck 😢
He is. We're all stupid
i really miss math... i really enjoyed it back at highschool
Same
And then the girls wonder why the boys in luxiem are rich. These guys know everything!
the fact that he's so relatable to me-
like who wouldn't want to solve a math quetsion that kinda makes no sense?? cos if you don't, then that math question will be stuck in your head forver and you can either solve it or forever think about it-
What was odd about the numbers in the question that it will stuck to head, like how it did to Shu?
@@owitch It was not immidiately obvious but didn't seem a mile away from being solvable. It was just reachable enough to seem possible but not completely straightforward, so it was tantalising
Yeah, it's very relatable, I once spent a somewhat long time trying to solve a physics question I had in my third year of highschool book, it was kinda like this: two identical particles are pushed and collide on point C (right triangle's 90°, the triangle also had a point A on the 30°, and an point B on the 60°) after an t amount of time, using gravity g, what was the initial velocity of the particle on point A ?
Damn Shu
I can't even remember what I ate yesterday 😂
LMAOOO
Thats hot
This might actually help me with my maths exam since i struggle with logarithms especially changing log base-
at this point shu needs to help me with my math homework cause I can't-
Why am I attracted💀
Nerd rizz
When I got introduced to Nijiisan En, I though my oshi would be Luca or Vox but then I met Shu and his constant attempts to debunk his nerdiness and I fell in love. Science is ❤
hes so perfect
Im convinced this is someone’s homework
Shu had many hidden talents
What if we just give him a ton of math questions (totally not our assignments) and b̶e̶g̶ hope for a math stream.....
He can talk in numbers all day and I’ll listen
this is oddly attractive
the way he said "oh mario, yes." I CANTTT ;;
*He's so brilliant...love him~❤*
This actually makes me down bad for Shu, and I'm an heterosexual male xD
I have news for you buddy...
/j
i need shu to be my math tutor lmao
I need him to help me with my prob&stat homework, it's all probability, and my brain can't comprehend it... "Oh, it's PROBABLY because of THIS".... what?
Next ed stream when?
You do not ask a nerd a math question unless you want an answer. They won't take it as a joke, and think about it at the back of their mind, regardless of whatever it is they are physically doing, until they have an answer.
Or unless you want to keep said math nerd distracted.
i love our nerdy sorcerer btw please don't actually send him ur math homework LOL he's said before he doesn't want to do people's homework
I need Shu to lend me his brain in my final exams
At this point we just have to call it sorcery cuz what the actual fuck? 😭
love when my oshi talks about something i dont know shit about, makes me feel very snart
or you can just replace the 15 in 15^y with 2^x (since 2^x = 15) , to get 2^(xy) = 32. and 32 is 2^5, so xy = 5 :D
also if you’re going to comment the 🤓☝️ emoji , i honestly don’t mind since i’ve already accepted my nerdgeness at this point
ok🤓
That's how I thought to do it too
Its been 5 years since I deal with logarithms too and I arrived with the same answer. Thanks shu for the validation lmao
*Lesson learned*
Whenever I have math problems that I don't understand I will just go to Shu stream and ask him to teach(solving it) so I can understand the problem....
Thank you Shu💜💜💜💜💜
He’s such a nerd, that’s my oshi hshshshs
He's just like me fr fr
TSKRRRR PROFESSOR YAMINO SHU IS BACK
Shu yaminerd 🤓
He came back and mario and the gang was looking at him directly in his soul lmao.
I remember busting out laughing because I was also doing math during this stream.
The perfect bgm too 😂
the way i learned this last semester and forgot everything 😭
Honestly, it's easier than a question I had on my Highschool physics book, the question was basically like: there are two identical particles that were pushed and after an t amount of time they both collide on point C (right triangle 90° angle, with one of the particles being on A, a 30° angle and the other on B, the 60° angle), using gravity equal to g, what is the initial velocity of particle on point A ? That was the last and hardest question of the first chapter of a more complex book during third year... ah, there were other questions like that at almost every other chapters, sometimes one, but normally two...
Im dead☠☠ didn't understand nothing☠☠
but he is so hot tho, not gonna lie
im not even supoosed to learn this right now since im still in grade 9 but i somehow understand this
He went down the long route
naw i got flashbacks
recently had my trigo course it was bloody as hell
somehow this makes him even hotter
And then there's me, not even knowing what a logarithm is to the point that I needed my keyboard's text prediction to spell it right
Log rules be like
Bro is just like me 🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
The masculine urge to solve a math question 😂
Substitute 15^y with (2^x)^y, simplifies to 2^xy =32, xy=5
All that work just to get 5??? This is why I can’t math, none of this works in my brain lol, but I’m throughly impressed by Mr. Yamino, I could never. 😂
As someone in uni learning math, i approve that but he needs to needs to put a "=" on his papers if he wants an A
gosh that's so attractive
he's overthinking it...
2^x=15, 15^y=32
xlg2=lg15, ylg15=32
x=lg15/lg2, y=lg32/lg15
xy=(lg15/lg2)(lg32/lg15)
cross both lg15
xy=lg32/lg2
assume lg has a base of 2
xy=lg2(32)/lg2(2)
xy=5lg2(2)/lg2(2)
note: lga(a)=1
xy=5(1)/(1)
xy=5
ez
This video convinced me to watch Shu; I've never watched a YT stream of anything but I'm all in for deep nerdery. Where should I start?
Edit: I see he never did remember what makes the Law of Logarithms work is that the generic log is log base 10, and thus from 1:17 it should've taken 20 seconds tops. As soon as he wrote log(32)/log(2) he had c b and a from earlier, making it collapse to log base 2 of 32, which leads to 2^n=32 n=5. Of course, he could've just set 2^x=15 into 15^y=32 so 2^(xy)=32 xy=5. But that isn't as fun.
Hi, I'm glad to hear you are interested to watch more about Shu Nerdy (Yaminerd) moments.
Perhaps, you may start from Shu playing some Logic related games. The below is some recommendations.

In case anyone's actually doing this
The easier way would be sub 2^x for 15, and get (2^x)^y= 32
2^xy=32
xy=5
🤓
I speedran. I got 5?!
Heckk yeah, still got it.
Shu Yamino is an avid gamer
But the minute he pulled his…MS Paint, Shu Yaminerd sensei will take over. 🤓
People have been saying the way he say things out are so clear and easy to listen, making his explanation easy to understand, for language lesson and now for math lesson.
Maybe aside from beibg a Vtuber, Shu can be a teacher (an attorney or a doctor)?
Finally 1 streamer that can solve basic math stuff
this is basic? :')
@sen6900 yes, this is highschool level maths.
Xyaroh xy=0 Xyaroh(Sarah)ROBLOX. Are all synonyms.
I hate addmath but he makes it looks hot.
Dude u can solve it like (2^x)^y=32 then it equals 2^xy=32 so xy = 5
Get a man who can do math
Math is actually genuinly fun when you know how to or when youre keen on doing it
HE'S SO HOT DOING MATH OMG SHU 🥵
Wait.. x=5?
xy = 5 :)
you know at this point I'm sure he's an Asian 💀
What a nerd 🤓 this is so basic tho but I admire his dedication to solve it on stream...
He's a nerd🤣
So many people in the chat exposing themselves for not passing high school maths
I really hate math
