I honestly like to commend your courage and clarity with which you were asking such a meaningful, relevant, and worthy questions. One of greatest interviews I have seen in recent times (both parts).
Really appreciate your efforts. At the same time, I appreciate the interviewee's conviction and honesty as well. Way to go. 👌🙏
The only suggestion I could give Param is to look at the series and shows that Netflix choose to involve with. The variety, the vastness, and the subjects. Going by simply what sells and underestimating consumers, in this case viewers, and making shows that are insult to intelligence are definitely not going to stand the test of time. Just plain foolishness. Instead of following the herd (the industries surrounding states), thinking innovatively and coming up with quality shows will definitely take kannada industry and it's work to the next level.

The question is very very simple. You are feeling so proud about making one good effort of teaching kannada words in KANNADATHI. You quoted the same many times. Why cant you make the effort to bring that positivity in all the things you make, of course keeping the commercial aspects in mind?
You cant justify selling drugs bcz there are buyers for it.. You cant justify gambling bcz it is there in Mahabharatha. The real challenge for your caliber is commercialization of positivity. Negativity already has a market.
As he said it's an effort, serial watchers should also evolve. They have started with kannadathi, in future more will come.

Anchor is correct. Mangala Gauri Maduve should be stopped now. Only we are seeing weeping and negative thinking and lousy face. Mangala actress will be branded if she accept same role in other serial for weeping, like Shruti. Saturation point has come now for this serial. Parameshwar is not fully correct in his argument.

I think the defence for continuing stupid and illogical serials timelessly is laughable. Does he continue serials for the sake of only one section of the society? The argument that the rating of timeless serials are high and people are watching it despite hollow story is horrible analysis. He is more interested in garnering money than providing clean entertainment and satisfy his masters. He looks like a person who is afraid to take risks. As long as money is generated he is happy. It is people like him who are spoiling the tastes of Kannadigas. It is time that he thinks about viewers and than about TRP.

Utterly disappointed after listening to Sri Parameshwar Gundkal. Being the head of a popular channel his msg to the viewers should be a sort of eye opener. Through a media channel one should send msg to its viewers, what is good and what is not. If majority of TV channels are airing stupid serials and making good money, it doesn't mean that he should also follow the same line. Making money isn't the one and only thing but to act responsibly and make good attempts to make viewers understand what are the right things to be followed. Just saying that the present trend is by producing stupid serials is the only way for survival is unacceptable. He says he too don't understand why the trend is like that. If anyone comes to know that what he are she doing is wrong, it's always better to correct the mistake immediately. Always Right is right and wrong is wrong
There is a serious cleanup necessary of Kannada channels , TV shows and News included. What crappy content ri. These tv shows who claim to have different content ultimately and inevitably for lack of structure and content fail in just few weeks. Big Boss is the worst tv show which is Scripted and not reality like it is made to believe . People should understand that they are simply fighting and pointing out the "contestants" mistakes and failures. Sudeep is making his money with his fame. The audience is simply made fools by such Fake shows. Is this what we can expect from Channels who don't promote a fraction of Kannada culture. Most of the serials are borrowed or remade from their Hindi /Tamil/Telugu counterparts. There is no originality in the content and story and values. Is there dearth for good serials which has the capability to keep the audience guessing and excited about the upcoming episodes. These serials have become a source of memes in social media. I firmly believe some serials need to be banned for their portrayal of women , children and in general the ideas they portray. No serial in today's world is without Kidnapping, Harassment on Women , Attempt to Kill , Hatefulness and Cheating. The worst part is that these serials will turn into some Janmanthara , Snake Story and Ghosts when they become boring and loose their way. That is when people need to understand that the story writer has gone on a long holiday and the serial is going to the Dust bin . Public should ask for their money back even if it is 1 Rupee per day ,the content is not worth a single Paisa. I am very disappointed with these Serials and the people who continue to watch this on and on.

What kind of nonsense justification is he giving. Underestimating the kannada viewers. Your team don't have the capacity to adopt the literatures to visual media. Malegalalli madumagalu was made in just 13 episodes. How Malgudi days was adopted. Kanooru Heggadthi was adopted to silver screen. This platform can be used to showcase kannada to new generation.
