Had an amazing time at Retropalooza, visited Chief's Booth a couple times and getting to walk around with you was awesome! The giant venom is probably my favourite thing you picked up 😀
Be great if you could team up and do a toyplosion episode with pixel Dan or if he could help you do your next toy history video. Miss both of those.
@@rogertrump1026 i like the way you’re thinking 😏 Toy History is coming back in November
Always happy to see you make a stateside appearance, Ed! Glad you had a great con with some great guys!
@@seandaeley7079 thanks buddy this was definitely a highlight on the trip 😄
Fun Fact @Pixel Dan? That Ninja Grapplor was licensed from TOMY for use by Playmates in their TMNT line. The Ninja Grapplor first came out in TOMY's R.A.T.S. toy line in 1985-1986 and it was just called "Grapplor". It can be used with Starriors figures or TOMY's other obscure robot toyline, Tri-Bots.
And it works exactly like it says on the box. Once that front bar touches the figure infront of it, it locks the claws on it, spins in the opposite direction and drives off. Super fun toy!
I had the R.A.T.S grapplor as a kid and the disk thrower, which also reminded me of the pizza thrower.
@@k-wud4105 that was the Star Shooter or the Spitfire (it had different names here and in the U.K.). And it should remind you of the Pizza Thrower because Playmates licensed that motor function and made their own TMNT styled outer design. So apparently Playamates used TOMY stuff quite a bit back then.
It's always great to see so much awesome vintage goodness as well as seeing Ed's Retro Geek Out joining for the hunt, cool stuff you guys found btw. I like the Marvel Legends line but am even more of a Toy Biz guy myself. Both the figure- and packaging style of this line have more of an appeal to me. First time ever I saw such a Thundercats display, cool! The art on the MotU storage display, downright gorgeous.
I kinda love how Battlecat on the storage chest at the end of the video has straight up human arms with bulging biceps and opposable thumbs.
Would love to see a video on the Ninja Grappler!
Fun video My friend also thank you for tanking the time to talk with us on our channel rock on!
Always cool seeing you there.
Keep putting Grecofabulous in your videos and your channel is gonna blow up!
ShartimusPrime should heed this advice. Announce some upcoming Grecofabulous appearances and Russ could surpass one million subscribers overnight. 😁
I think I remember the Commander Cash episode of Robocop. Commander Cash was an animated kids show in the universe. If I'm not mistaken kids were getting brainwashed by his cereal and the mind control agent wasn't detectable until milk was added.
The one episode from Robocop The Series that I taped in the mid 90s. Then on 2010, I found the whole Series on DVD.
This video was really great, 2:15 how impressive to see so many vintage tmnt playmates figures and vehicles, 6:15 Toxic crusaders luxury playmates, 7:05 classic Rockman cartridge, 14:15 Cadillacs & Dinosaurs great collection, 28: 50 the Skyfire Coleco from Rambo an epic video, greetings from Argentina Tucumán 🙂🇦🇷
Thanks for the time stamps, Carlos!
So much nostalgia seeing all of those toys again! Quite a few of them like Star Wars: Power Of The Force and Spider-Man Classics I still own today. Plus, about two years ago I completed my set of Kenner Real Ghostbusters Slimed Heroes mint on card.
Flush o matic art work is amazing. I had one as a kid. Great video
"Get this on camera. He does pay for stuff!" LMAO brutal roast.
What a fun con this looks like, though.
My brother and I had two HeMan toy chests as kids and we still have them. Greatest toy chest ever
Those toys were awesome, I wished I could have been there Dan
Glad to see you had such a good time. Super happy we went to your panel and I hope you are still open to that interview I mentioned on Saturday.
What a great finish to the con for you. I'm really happy that you were able to find something you really wanted and at a great price! Thanks for sharing this with us. 😊
Oh wow, that Aladdin's Castle monkey... We had one of those in my hometown in OK. Didn't know it was a far reaching chain like that. Neat.
That's gotta be the most premium TMNT collection I've ever seen! Congrats, Chief on an awesome start to your con! And I agree, Dan, Space Cadet Ralph IS the best variant! Ah, man...I actually sold that toy box for $50 a few years ago to a local toy shop. I was a fool!
So much TMNT goodness!!!
Really proud of you Dan. I love those ToyBiz Marvel Super Hereos. Finally getting to see some Toybiz love
Oooooh that Toy Biz Annihilus is a beaut! I’ve also been trying to get that huge Venom! Great score!
I used to love He-Man for the Intellivision when I was little. I was wondering if you'd do a special on He-Man games in general. I mean your name is "Pixel Dan". Don't have to make it permanent. But these games allowed us to play the heroes we loved on a TV screen. We felt immersed even as ugly as they are now.
There isn't many, and I'm sure you haven't gotten your hands on some of them. But man, that Intellivision one still brings back memories of always sitting on rugs and not chairs, so we could be soo much closer to the TV.
I used to have a severe love for Voltron. Short lived, but was huge during my MOTU days. Finding those seems to have gotten hard.
That grappler vehicle is a repaint of another toy, I had one, but I know nothing more.
hey just in case you didnt know rowdy roddy piper was the live action version of that commander cash character from the robocop show so its a pretty cool collectible since i believe its the first voice over work he had ever done too or at least i think he did the cartoon voice too.
I loved this video! And that TC shield was breathtaking!
Dat turtle booth thoo
I've got an original Technodrome and Sewer Playset NEW in open box and two Blimp II's NEW in open box and many more!!!
That toy box is definitely a grail. Saw one at Powercon but didn't bother asking about the price. Missed opportunity. Hope Dan snagged it.
I doubt it. 700 dollars is beyond what most people would be willing to pay.
I had one as a kid
@@Rocket1377 That teaser at 31:55 implies we haven't seen the last of the toy chest. Maybe it can imprison Matt Cordona someday. 😜
18:28 - I worked at Aladdins Castle in Houston. It was awesome!!!
Awesome toys collection
Aladdin's Castle!!!
We had Aladdin's Castle in Montgomery AL
Those toy biz marvel figures are sweat finds. Man I wish I had those in my collection especially that venom and silver surfer
Amazing video as usual! I wish Mattel would release official shields for figure display of Origins figs like that Thundercats one you showed!
Speaking of original sculpts on toys, that Pizza Thrower and the Grapplor are the only two TMNT vehicles I am trying to track down in decent or boxed condition because they are revised versions of vehicles from the Tomy Starriors/R.A.T.S. line of vehicles with different paint/plastic colors and some sculpt upgrades.
I'd rather have the Battle Bones collector case. A similar concept, but you could actually play with it.
@@Rocket1377 Oh yeah, completely agree! I have no idea why Battlebones hasn't made an appearance yet!
Can an X-Men fan help identify the green Marvel comic featuring Gambit, Rogue, Cannonball, and Wolverine at 10:37? I recognize the signatures for Joe Madureira & Scott Hanna and I'm certain this art was never used for an Uncanny or Astonishing cover. I assume it was created for a role playing game guide published in between 1995 and 1997.
Wow..I havn't seen pogs since 1994.
Great episode as usual 🙂
Didn’t Dan say he was working on a Ninja Turtles book similar in style to his He-Man book??
Man, I need to do a toy tour US; all this stuff would be double, triple the price in the UK. IF you could find it. Which you couldn't.
I was there & I bought that robocop commander cash figure. 😂
Ed's a vagabond now, he moved to the states and just goes from show to show lol.
cool Turtles
Wow when did Undercover Don MOC unpunched become $180 ?
I'm suddenly proud to have the same exact figure in the same exact condition
BUY THE TOY CHEST!!!!!!
I have the punisher in the toybiz super size im looking for. Venom loose in good condition
Love your work .from Lima Perú... i recomen perubian food......
Where to you keep all the stuff you're collecting? In a warehouse?
I’m curious what chief paid for that collection 🤯
Dan how can we buy a book and get it ship? Due to my job, I can’t travel as we are swamp.
The Toys of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe hardcover is still in stock at BBTS for $59.99. In fact, it was briefly available at 40% off earlier this month. If you also want the character guide and world compendium supplement volume 1, consider buying the set of 2 Dark Horse books for $119.99. At the moment, only 3 copies are left and I doubt they'll ever get more.
@@KintounKal appreciated it!
hey pixel dan where did you get your shirt i would like to get one
Galactus at 480
its possible too, yes.
1st
are you going to drop a look at my stuff video soon of your new pickups I like those videos and a lot of your other ones thank you bye
For 700 I could build you and adult sized piece of he-man furniture.
Hit me up.
Wow. $70 for a complete in box TMNT vehicle from the original line? That's a good deal unless I'm completely overstating the value of the original TMNT line. I know it was opened, but I would have thought something like that would go for at least $200.
