      Lineage of County Kerry, born in Chicago, and well traveled throughout the USA, I've come to realize the post flood Irish are Basque lineage, remaining most prevalent in those from Counties Kerry and Cork. The trait most commonly known is Rh(-) Bloodtype.
      The Irish, and Ireland, has a history heavily faded by the focus of Patrick and those whom followed that was intent on abolishing their spiritual practices and the traditions and history knowledge that was woven through the same.
      Produced stoeores in books and film depict the Irish as a superstitious and unintelligent lot, this is inaccurate and to further confuse the greater realities of the facts and history.
      Much yet to accomplish through research, but I assure the reader, this decade has a plethora of facts emerging that will enlighten the Collective on Human History and the Irish will find a most surprising account of "Who we were and Who we are."
      Best advise: use Conscious Thoughts and applied Higher Mind. Avoid living through the Ego-Mind, reacting to the baits and life stimuli, as it allows for others to control the individual.
      Learn the "Universal Law of Attraction" and keep it in Conscious Thought.
      This allows for the intended Life Journey Experiences.
      Best Wellbeing ...

      What is not mentioned is that religious prejudice against Irish CATHOLICS. They were a breed apart from the Scots-Irish of Ulsters, who were Presbyterians, although subject also to mistreatment by the the English crown, and also very anti-Catholic. All Irish, of course, suffered from the famine and many of them were transported by a Government that found it cheaper to exile them from their homes rather than feed them where they lived, or even on poor farms. When they arrived in America, even formerly self-sufficient Irish families had been reduced to poverty, sometimes having little more than the clothes on their back, and if not having family in American suffering greatly. BUT American protestant rule was better than British rule, and so they laid down roots and bent their backs as much as any black laborer, free OR slave.

      Two of my 3rd great grandfathers also volunteered and fought in the Philadelphia Irish Brigade one in the 69th the other in the 71st. Both were on the front in gettysburg with their brothers in arms, holding the line at the angle, during picketts charge. I come from a long line of immigrants who served in the military. And then soon after a lot of these young Irish boys would be caught up in the bloodiest war in American history where so many of them would die and suffer through the horrors of war. The Celts of various sorts gave a lot to the creation of the British Empire. They had first of all, of course, to be conquered by the Anglo-Saxons, being the descendants of the Britons whom Caesar had met own the shore, and then conquered by Claudius nearly a century later.

    • @JRobbySh
      @JRobbySh 4 роки тому

      Not in the South. The slaveowner class went to battle themselves and sent their sons as well. As a group the richest men in American in 1860. But the gold they had piled up were lost to them. One of those wars in which the upper class did suffer as much as the people.

    • @Decimated_By_A_Train
      @Decimated_By_A_Train 4 роки тому +2

      Judy S. Even if your statement wasn't a vague over simplification , do you actually think there were 1,000,000 slave owners in the south?
      In reality, even if every slave over had 10 sons, that wouldn't even be near a million.
      I, for one, think the riches built upon the scarred backs of the enslaved was rightfully lost. The upper class did not suffer, they got what they deserved, if only more of them actually fought in the war they could've lost their lives as well.

    From the Spring of 1862 until January of 1863 the Irish Brigade had the 29th Massachusetts assigned as its 4th regiment. This period included its service at Antietam. The 29th Mass. was a predominately "Yankee" regiment and they did not take to being brigaded with the Irish. In January of 1863 the 29th Mass. was transferred form The Army of the Potomac to The Department of the Ohio. The 29th was replaced in the Irish Brigade with the 28th Massachusetts, which as the documentary correctly points out was made up almost exclusively of Irish immigrants who had settled in Boston.

    • @robertmclernon4836
      @robertmclernon4836 5 років тому

      In the only intra-corps exchange of regiments during the war, the 29th Mass went to 9th Corps, and the 28th Mass. went to the Irish Brigade, 2nd Corps. This was in November, 1862, and the 28th was the only Irish Brigade regiment to have a Green Flag at the Battle of Fredericksburg.

    • @brucebucknelson7823

      My great-grandfather fought with the Irish Brigade as a soldier in the 29th Massachusetts, including at Antietam. Not even mentioning the 29th is serious oversight.

    • @johnnychaos152
      @johnnychaos152 4 роки тому +1

      The 28th Mass. was intended to be in the Irish Brigade to begin with but the recruitment was taking too long. Meagher had been promised a 4th regiment for the upcoming campaign so the upper command simply swapped in the 29th Mass. on the understanding that it would be exchanged for the 28th when it was ready. Instead the 28th would end up getting assigned to the 9th Corps for several months, serving along the Carolina coast and at 2nd Manassas. When the 9th Corps joined the Army of the Potomac for the Maryland campaign Meagher promptly reminded his superiors that the 28th was supposed to be his regiment but the exchange wouldn't occur until after Antietam.

    About their actions at Antietam, the Irish Brigade was armed with smoothbore muskets instead of rifled muskets, so their advance to within fifty yards was necessary in order to come to grips with the Confederates in the Sunken Road.

      @lump2202 6 років тому +3

      At. Gen. Meaghar's insistence the 8 line companies of each NY regiment in the brigade were issued the .69 caliber M1842 Springfield. Meagher assumed his brigade would perform most fighting at close range where smoothbores were most effective, especially when using "buck and ball" type ammunition, and his officers generally agreed. The 6 "light companies" (2 from each regiment) were issued either Springfield or Enfield rifled muskets. These 6 companies were often detached to form a "light battalion" and used for skirmishing duty. The 116th Pennsylvania was also issued the Springfield M1842 smoothbore musket. The 28th Massachusetts was issued .58 Caliber Enfield rifled muskets by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The NY and PA regiments would carry the smoothbore muskets until mid 1864 when the depleated brigade was temporarily sidelined. The 116th PA was eventually issued .58 caliber M1861 Springfield rifled musket. Ordinance records show that at about the same time all of the NY regiments were also issued more modern Springfield or Enfield rifled muskets.

      @@lump2202 At the Gettysburg angle, the Irishmen had their smoothbores. Often two or three per man. As they rose up and fired their buck and ball at the rebels the carnage was horrific as the southerners were torn to pieces. Pickets charge was broken.

    You want what might be another "strange occurrence" in the days before and during the Civil War...in 1860 the governor of Wisconsin DISARMED an Irish regiment in Milwaukee because he had plans to secede from the Union if the Federal Government did NOT end slavery across the country. He was afraid the Irish Regiment would side with the Federal Government (since they made no bones about being against the freeing of Black slaves in the South who would compete with the Irish for jobs) and actually fight against Wisconsin in it's OWN Civil War with the government.

    💙judgment that is not physically, mentally, naturally financially and spiritually beneficial is useless therefore has no true value. Without judgment progress cannot be made. For no one can express or receive love or any other desired emotion in its entirety if the don't know themselves. We are all not created equal however we all have a equal obligation in living up to the pleasure, potential, and responsibility of femininity and masculinity. So don't miss the deadline on doing your best to become physically fit, mentally sound, and spiritually balanced being able to express physical freedom. Which can be accomplished through clean air, water, fitness, that specializes in overall functionality combined with high sources of nutrition organic non-genetically modified would be best. Plus formal education and real hands-on experience. When one learns the body's capabilities and limitations by fully engaging with all their bodies senses to their extreme limits in the most efficient way that is humanly possible. The subconscious then begins to naturally subconsciously systematically coincide with the mind-body souls spirit mother Earth nature and all the various different forms of life that live within this world and the most efficient way that is humanly possible. Thus yielding
    the best spiritual kickback for one's efforts accomplishments experiences. You might want to take these points to heart
    Considering the simple logic basic concept that if life is not free, why the hell would death be any cheaper? It's not the question the common, basic, average, normal man or woman may be able to wonder is what is the spiritual cost to one's own soul and spirit for freely living dying off having only used the smallest percentage of a fraction of the true potential they are first born with. Not to add insult to injury for the last hundred and 50 years or so the mass majority of the population from coast-to-coast globally more so here in America. has been living and dying yielding the worst spiritual kickback that has ever been manifested since the beginning of life only getting worse. And that has nothing to do with everybodys so-called charming personality and everything to do with the standards of quality pertaining to our air, water, foods, landscapes, working/living environment, every day home products, habitats, and ecosystems. This lack of comprehension conscious physical participation in solutions is ignorant beyond retarded (no offense to any disabled people was intended.) When you consider for the last 490 years Give or take we have had the manpower woman influence or vice versa to have created clean high paying jobs from coast-to-coast globally that would constantly consistently be improving upon and maintaining the quality of our life in such a manner.
    That the mass majority of the population from coast-to-coast globally would constantly consistently naturally, gradually, and systematically almost effortlessly start becoming stronger, smarter, healthier, happier, better off physically, mentally, and financially possibly spiritually then the previous generation. Now I would like to resurrect the wish and prayer I made prior to my 8th birthday which was to be held spiritually accountable to the statements I proclaim to the way I'm living personally and professionally. I guarantee you never see or hear another body, man or woman in power, persons of legal, religious authority, or leaders ever freely validate the statements they proclaim with that level of certainty one reason they don't have the best interest of the majority of the population's needs at heart a another reason could be they cum from a bloodline of cowards or simply have a lifestyle that suggests, confirms, and validates them as being feebleminded physically inadequate submissive subservient which it doesn't get any worse than that. One is genetically inherited and the other is a simple generic learned behavior. Quite possible to be a combination of these worst-case scenarios combined is one to say the least. Nonetheless either way it is physically, mentally, and spiritually useless to freely live and die in such a low quality manner.
    Especially if that ignorant stupidity, weak, lonely desperation stems from being soft, lazy, out of shape, over fed, undernourished, overworked, and underpaid with a dirty low-paying job that comes from outdated power sources, inferior materials, poisonous, toxic substances, pesticides, and chemicals that never change their killing composition. Which means simpletons whether it is a solid, liquid, or burnt off into our airways atmosphere as a vapor it is always going to be poisonous, debilitating, and deadly to the body at the same time polluting, corrupting, and devastating to mother Earth and all the various different forms of life that live within this world. There is no cash profit to be made in the demise of the planet. Thanks to those dirty low-paying jobs we are in the mist of environmental financial global collapse. The good news souls and spirits have paid out are picking up the tab on the end results of those dirty low-paying jobs And so much more. The even better news that the common, basic, average, normal man woman may be able to comprehend is souls and spirits have been are being managed, directed, maintained, and implemented with all the disease, sickness, illness, pain, suffering, injury, abuse, neglect, hunger, addiction, sadness, anger, and hyper- aggressive violent criminal conduct. That has been allowed to occur manifesting throughout the history of mankind into what it is today thanks to people like Donald Trump who have the false belief if the mass majority of the population is at their worst they will feel less afraid scared inferior to the true potentials of love, honor, and the creation of life. Here's the deal you're either part of the world solutions or exacerbating the planets problems there is no safe in between. Either way no matter how you look at it each and every moment of every life has been spiritually accounted for.
