Ngl I always liked desert tracks though I can see why people say they’re underwhelming or boring to look at. Only two really I don’t like are Desert Hills and especially Bone-Dry Dunes although if they remade Desert Hills in the next game I feel it would turn out really good like how the DS tracks in 8 Deluxe did.
I think the original cheese land is supposed to be on a moon, its got craters and stars in the background. Its pretty reminiscent of the moon from Wallace and Gromit. I honestly wouldn't even call 8's a desert too its way more of a rock land
Nintendo there is two items slots in 8 deluxe and they should be the fake item box and the mega mushroom that you speed up and smoosh people and run them over
