    Bought two. Company wasted weeks asking for videos of faults etc. Then said talk to sales and they tried to contradict everything and just get rid of me. Main problem that one might not realise at first is that bikes wear down and when you do have a problem the worst thing you can have is a situation where the supplier has no interest in after sales. Avoid this company.

      Interesting. To be fair, it's asking a lot to design this and get it right without a ton of r&d. I read somewhere that Bosch sunk... well my memory tells me £2 billion ... that is surely more than it was? But anyway, difficult to compete when the the battery specs are changing all the time. Then again, £1000 is not nothing.

    I have the fiido m1 built like a tank I love it so much so that its become my only transport. replacing my motorcycle which I have now sold. and to be honest I find the 250w motor more than enough never even have to change gears. The m1 can be unlocked just gives you a few more kms

  • @angelffalcon3134
    @angelffalcon3134 3 роки тому +9

    *this one has issues with the seat post breaking. It can't be unlocked and it's slow, small motor. D4s is better, has more torque and can go up to 35kph*
    D4s is only 18 kg as well
    *I just added a 12ah battery in parallel to my d4s and get 90kms range on mostly throttle*
    People. In the fiido group are selling this one to get a different bike.. They're not happy with it. So not worth 1000 bucks.

      Yes i really dont like the idea of litrully sitting on the battery either. If it ever did catch fire you would probably be burnt before you noticed anything was wrong. For that reason alone i chose the D4S instead recently.

    How long do Fiido take to deliver in EU/UK. I paid for a D4 almost 2 weeks ago & it seems impossible to get any useful info from Fiido on where the bike is or when it might arrive? They just won't tell you anything of any use. Gave me a DPD tracking code that is not recognised. I suspect it's in a ship container on the way from China. No idea? Anyone else had problems? I think even some of the reviewers waited a month on delivery?

    Fiido's pedal assist is the worst I've ever seen! It's not pedal assist actually, it just detects that you are pedaling (after quite some time actually because it's very slow) and it just gives full power!! no matter what assist gear/mode you 're on.. assist gears/modes only define different cut-off speeds for the motor so it stops when you reach that speed.. just awful!

    Many will disagree of course that for $1K this e-bike is worth the money. In this price range majority of the foldable, step-through even e-bike will outperform this otherwise European art design. As with cars this e-bike will not have a visible market since Americans want power, performance, especially in variety of terrains and grades. And this pretty e-bike will not deliver, since it’s el. system is underpowered, lack of suspensions, lack of 20x3” wheels/tire width, too compact tight frame for toll riders and most importantly it’s not a universally convenient step-through for all ages and ability frame. The disappointment is also learning that it’s assembled in China, and in the same time considering high quality?

    Good luck if you puncture the back tire. I did on my first ride and there is no easy way to remove the tire. You can't disconnect the motor cable, like many e-bikes, unless you do it from the controller box and take ALL the cables out. Maybe you could check it out to see if you find a better way?
