- NO APRIL FOOLS - EGO just blew up everything!!! So 10 years ago when I bought my first EGO tool, I had no idea that one day that leaf blower battery would power a mini-bike. I don't think anyone knew.

Lots of safety features too - best ebike I have ever ridden. Look at the brake lines - it's no joke.

How is it that scooters don't require a tag or insurance but this thing would? Both have 2 wheels and is battery operated
@@doomguy584 They do in my state. Even 50cc models require a plate, insurance, and annual state safety inspection which gets you a sticker placed on the left front fork. They gave this all the lights except turn signals. Even so my state requires a VIN number and dot and if gas epa approval or you are not getting a plate.

Can we get a race and comparison to the new Greenworks 60V Stealth mini bike?
Based on the specs being so similar, we need a showdown. With greenworks having slightly higher total watt-hour capacity as equipped, lower weight, I suspect it may have a longer range. Top speed ratings depends if the 2 bikes used the same test conditions.
The greenworks is on sale for $1300 w/ the 2 batteries vs. $2000 for EGO (but unavailable in stores currently).

Nice! Too bad there's no center stand to make oil changes easier. Oh, wait - never mind🤣🤣🤣! Now, since I have a lot of EGO tools, and absolutely no use for this... do I buy one anyway?
I heard if you want it to go faster you can replace one of the batteries with 2 quarts of oil
I hope Lowes will consider selling this as they have a very large display of all EGO tools.

It's great but i think it is very dumb to have a 2+1 battery instead of a 2+2 battery. That is horrible on the batteries to be draining them like that and swap one for another instead of swap both when they are low.
Fair point - I thing the spare battery is just about getting home when you were out having too much fun :)
I will get that for for my pit bike and get the ego fan for inside the race trailer

A moped has pedals. MO as in motor and PED as in pedals. Never understood why people call scooters a moped. Mopeds look like a bicycle with a tiny engine attached. And no this does not have peddles.
@@scrambler69-xk3kv I think it's because actually mopeds are so rare to find these days that people often call low power motorcycles or scooters mopeds. I know the difference but I think it's like calling the motors in electric cars engines.
