I pray to Allah Most High that He may grant success (tawfeeq) to all the students attending the Nubdha al-Sughra course (The Concise Article), initiated by the instruction of Muhammad Mbaye - may Allah bless and protect him - and taught by Shaikh Ahmad Al-Kaff.
I ask Allah Most High and Most Majestic to assist them in concluding this book in goodness and that they may benefit from it and benefit others.
We grant them all Ijaza in this book and all the related sciences. May Allah grant them spiritual opening (fath) that will benefit them in spreading the dawah of Allah in wisdom and goodly exhortation.

This one year course (20 live lessons) with Qs & As provides a unique opportunity to study this traditional text composed by Ḥabīb Abū Bakr al-`Adanī bin `Alī al-Mashhūr.
This course provides students wth a comprehensive understanding on matters relating to the knowledge of the fourth pillar of the religion and an explanation of the intermediate, minor, and major signs of the Last Hour.
The author, Al-Habīb has established sixteen seminaries (Ribats) for full time study of the Islamic sciences and rigorous spiritual work and eighty-three educational centers throughout Yemen, as well as a center for cultural studies that organises conferences, seminars, and workshops.
He continues to live in Jeddah where he teaches the Islamic sciences and writes works addressing contemporary challenges in light of timeless Prophetic guidance.
He has coined many new terms in the field of Fiqh At-Tahawwulāt (Knowledge of Transitions) such Sunnah Mawāqif, Manhaj As-Salāmah, and other interesting terms.
Among the fields which he particularly specialises in is a study of the fourth pillar of the religion after Islam, Iman and Ihsan i.e. the knowledge of the Signs of the End of Time. The pillars are based upon the Hadīth of Jibril in which the angel Jibril came to the Prophet in the form of a man and asked him several questions in the presence of his noble companions. The fourth pillar of the dīn is unlike the first three which is fixed and definitive while this fourth pillar is transformative depending on the stages.
