Maybe what would help too if you can on the sliding bit at the top is it possible to add each of the arrows of up and down during the horizontal scroll? This is a great comprehensive tutorial!!! Thank you!
Thank you James. Excellent teaching technic - very logical and clear, esp. the strumming pattern. As a beginner, this is the first song that I was able to play through completely and it sounded great!
This was truly the clearest and most thorough beginners video, especially loved the attention to strumming. So many seem to assume we can strum but it is my biggest struggle. As an older learner I really appreciated the detail and clarity.
Hi, Karen. Thanks for reaching out and stating that it was helpful for you as an older beginner. I actually specialize in teaching older beginners... I offer a few premium roadmaps. Here is a link in case you are interested: courses.goodguitarist.com/
Thank you! I appreciate this! First sitting I got it down just need to slow myself down as halfway through I for some reason speed up after switching cords haha
Hi James thanks for the lesson. I really appreciate all your videos. Just one question are we supposed to mute the top two strings of Just the top one 🤔 Thanks your friend, Ray 🇨🇦
Downstrums typically play the bass strings and upstrokes emphasize the high strings so mute the primary strings being hit. Use the palm to mute and get used to doing that because the song uses that method. Bob Seger does a fair amount of muting on acoustic songs from the mid-to-late 70s
Properly played...that's a 4 chord song 🎵...but all 4 chords fall within the confines of the 2nd fret area...although for a beginner to learn it...2 chords work fine
Beginners of UA-cam, what do you need the most help with on guitar?

Hi, what size Pick do you recommend? I am a learner. Thanks
Very good!
Excellent
Great easy to understand lessons, even i can understand it, haha.
Very very interesting. Sometimes the best songs don't need to be complex.
Unless you are playing more than the "simplified version" which this one is and most of the song lessons on youtube are.
Hi James thanks for the lesson.
I really appreciate all your videos.

Why do you use the word miss when you're counting?
it helps people clue into the fact that you are not to physically strum the strings on that beat.
One of my favorite songs and I don't play any instrument
👍
Dude, put your middle finger on the low E string for the D chord - listen
Caballo sin nombre
Good teachers will not say "I want you to {this or that]]".
Sand man by america step by step
Confused
4 chords dude
Do what? What did you say bro? Why are you whispering?
How do you take the easiest song ever and play it wrong, then try to teach it?!?!?
Wrong wrong wrong
not the right chords
