He opens the video by saying the product is good even though he hasn't seen it possibly because that's the default editorial direction of sponsored videos, then thankfully he mentions that it's sponsored. Then he basically admits that there an awkward conversation in sight if the review is negative. It's the usual conundrum - LTT wants to be unbiased, but they benefit from these sponsorships and they have incentives, regardless of whether they act on them or not, to give positive opinions on products, especially when they don't label the videos as "reviews". This is in stark contrast to publications like Gamers Nexus, which admittedly stunts their growth, but they get to maintain a sustainable size and definitely more credibility than LTT and its satellites imo in terms of integrity. That being said I trust LTT a whole lot more than I do some others. Look at Unbox Therapy for instance. Identical behavior for sponsored products, but Unbox Therapy will put any product in a positive light for enough money. LTT tries to be impartial but it's a huge company now with serious operational costs. All I'm saying about this video in particular though is that I found the behavior at least somewhat suspicious.

Now I want to know. Was there ever a sponsored video that didn't come out because the product was too awful?
They probably get sent a top of crap stuff that never make it into video.
"This keyboard cover feels very good"
I guess he's never seen a microfiber cloth
Sounds great for playing flight simulator
That soft pad under the laptop is probably not doing your thermals any favors because it doesn't seem like the laptop isn't very elevated.
(8:54) Alex : Intel would hate me using cinebench
Intel on stage during their tiger lake presentation
"And our imitators using benchmarks like cinebench which has a very niche usefulness"

I need to watch the Tech Jesus Steve's roasting on this one again LMAO
@@bshenlow882 i have watched it half a dozen times already It's awesome

WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE FAN
Wow they figured out how to add another + to 10nm... Well at least there consistent lol
@Keep Working Not clicking so you'll have to explain what that's to
I have this laptop and I thought it didn't have a webcam, and that the physical switch did something... Thank you for showing that there is a webcam under it! It's so tiny
Does it has mux switch? Does the thunderbolt port works?
Can we get [Sponsored Content] in the title or an overlay that makes it clear like other youtubers are doing these days ?
It's in the description
They say it clearly in first 30 seconds. And description on top
@@giovannisaccoccio5214 yes we know.. but it would be nice if it was included in the title or added an overlay that says sponsored content on the video like many others do these days on sponsored content. Most people never even look at the discription..
Mini DP on laptops is kinda rare these days, one of the reason why I keep using my GL503VD.
Seems weird doesn't it? Mini DP is pretty useful for laptops.
@@dracer35 indeed, my external monitor will only give 144/165Hz and freesync through (mini)DP, while HDMI maxes out at 120Hz without any sync feature. This port is crucial for me.
@@leledumbo Same here. I have the Eluktronics RP-15 and it has 2 mini DP, 1 HDMI, and 1 USB type c for display outs. I use the mini DP for my 1440p 144hz monitor and the HDMI for my 4k 60hz monitor. Also, I get better performance out of the GPU with it plugged directly into an external monitor rather than the signal needing to be processed through the CPU and then sent to the laptops screen.
laptops and consoles looking real good these days since g-cards are so expensive.
Yup, somehow gaming laptops have barely had price mark ups.
@@coolevlo1 OEMs deals and most gamers think they suck so it's a win-win lol I'm a laptop sucker, desktops suck. Innovation comes in a small form factor.
Yo know the video is sponsored when they don't make fun of the jet engine noice that drowns out the talking, but says "atleast it's not whiney"
Oof... even though it was meant as a joke, that opening statement says a lot about the editorial direction of this channel.
What do u mean? 😥
@@KaiZurus this channel is mostly now 10 minute commercials starring our favorite sexy millennial nerds.

@@ademiravdicIt's impossible to know what's happening in people's heads so it's possible that it's benign, but in my line of work, it's huge red flags for people to show this kind of bias.
The thing is, even if you don't care about power efficiency on desktop. (power is expensive in the UK so I do), on a laptop it does matter. It's heat, it's noise, it's battery.
i just purchased this laptop with an upgrade to 32GB RAM.
so, yes, the fans ramp up like crazy when you throw a processing load at it. It whines really loud.
Power saving is really aggressive on battery if you aren't doing heavy processing loads though.
I got 4715 on Cinebench (plugged into the mains) and 1246 on battery saving mode so LTT's test is legit.
overall, enjoying the 11th gen and RTX3080, and the weight is definitely a throwback to the laptops in the early 2000's which broke my back
i am starting to respect this guys reviews. Good work!
Intel? I haven't heard that name in years.
For 2 years I guess
i got aorus 15p while watching this video, this laptop is piece of art i'm really happy having this beast laptop
can you please post videos on it? i’m getting it for my bday in 6 days
I could confirm what he said is actually true. I'm using the Aorus 15 right now. And... actually, it's kinda amazing. The stock Windows and software comes it sucks. But after reinstalling Windows. This thing rocks man. The build is super solid. I'd say it's just behind Razer Blade (I'm using the Blade 15 too). The keyboard, well... very good. It feels much better than Blade 15's. And better than the legion 5's too. (Just my personal perspective)
Speakers, well... again Blade 15 and Legion 5 are far off. The trackpad is better than the legion 5 but seems small compared to the Blade 15. Although I'd prefer the Aorus click mechanic (very tactile and pronounced). The hinge is not so good (that's the down point).
The performance is excellent tho. Super well cooled, I mean my hands are freaking cool while gaming. overall very worth it.
It maybe will dethrone my Blade 15 lmao.
@@sabishii_tabibito I sent the Aorus to the distributor for a fresh os install and firmware updates last month. Working well by now.

aorus 15p xc rtx3070 doom 240 fps on ultra :)
8:30 Damn, that's very loud. Even through it does not have a wine to it.
I have last year's edition with the i7-10875H + RTX 2080 Super Max-Q and I absolutely love it. Before that I have never owned a Gigabyte laptop and I must say I am very impressed with its overall build quality.
It came with Omron keys which are a sensation to typed with. The 300 Hz screen doesn't make any different since I can easily max out my GPU settings.
Same! Got my first gaming laptop, this model, loving the build quality, surprising not many youtubers talked about it.
