Mate, I was about to give my kit away as a thought they were completely broken. You have just saved my life. Thank you and keep striving to support others, you do a 👍❤
That's awesome man, I made this video so long ago I kind of forget I ever made it and then someone like you leave the comment. It's awesome to hear it still helping.
As for someone like me that would rather watch instructional video than read about it, that was a great help. You should do a video on the difference between saving a trigger sound to an instrument versus saving it to a kit.
Hello great video. Thank you. Now a question. I am a bit confused. I have all xtalk send and receive in all my pads set to 06. Whenever I strike any pad at exactly the same time as my kick, the other sound is muted. So, should I modify the xtalk of all my drums but the kick, or the other way around? Is this affected by the send or receive? Thank you in advance.
thank´s for your tips...I wonderf what you could say about the curve config´s...I´m configuring spline curves...I´ve found them better for my playing...
actually DM10 is quite tricky to configure...luckily there´s people like you giving tips...the curves are very important and I think they should be left to the end of the process...to me the splines are the more "human-like" sounding...
I haven't changed sounds in a while, but I believe this is in the instrument setting. If you press the instrument button, that will let you browse and change the sound
Hey mate! Everything was clear with your explanation, however, anytime I turn off my module, all the settings goes back to default. Is there something I missed? Thanks!
Ádám Szirtes unfortunately I'm not sure why that is happening. I can double check tonight and see if there is something you might be doing incorrectly.
So I dig up a little bit, wasnt hard to be honest I was just lazy :D It was a very stupid mistake if I would ever read the manual would probably overcome mutch faster. Anyway the problem was everything is write protected so first I had to unlock the protection... Utility -> Sys -> O/S -> MEM and turn the protection off.
I have mostly left the curves on the default, which I think for most things is log4. I have toyed with putting the bass drum on whatever the last curve is. I forget what it's called, but it's the one that looks like a straight line across the top. This makes the bass drum louder, but it doesn't allow for any variant in the sound, basically if the drum gets triggered it plays the sample at the highest volume. Sometimes I like this because the bass drum seems to not be nearly as loud as the other triggers. As for sensitivity I believe I have most of them maxed, I may have turned the cymbals down to 70 or so. This video has had a lot of views, but I am no expert.
@@ovedrum you're welcome, I love sharing knowledge if I'm confident in something. As far as I know you cannot load external kits. I've never really looked into that though, you can make many custom kits. Many years ago when I got the drum kit, I thought I remember reading that you can update the module with new kits, but I don't know if that is only official updates or you can put whatever you want in there. Obviously there's a USB port, so I would imagine there is some updating supported.
@@ovedrum tuning as in physically adjusting the heads? Yes. I put mesh heads on my kit. I have also changed the layering inside the drum, this was supposed to enhance the kit, I believe it did, but I didn't play much with the standard setup. Also, there are ways to change the sound and pitch of each trigger on each kit.
@@bennydrumming...2339 hmm did you check on the volume of the channel ? It'll probably be perc 3 or perc 4, depending on which extra port you plugged it into. Also try to Google to make sure it's compatible.
For the most part, but I have mesh heads. I did the mesh head mod where you switch around the insides. Sensitivity settings will factor on how hard you play.

I appreciate it much. Glad I could help. I will look into that, thanks for the suggestion.
Very helpful, thanks.

It's been a long time since I have messed with these settings. I will try to see on my drums tonight
I would turn the kick receive down, try maybe 5 or 4.

Roberto Suarez I haven't messed with them much, only on my bass pad. Maybe I will try it out.

What does note chase exactly do? I run my drums through ez drummer. I’m now trying to adjust these drums.
Note chase will switch the selection to whichever trigger you are striking.
my friend got Dm1o and the third tom is a cow bell how can we change it

Are you saving the options? I don't have my module in front of me, but I know there is some kind of save button.
Yep I do, but after restart everything is back to default.

All of my cymbals cross talk with random drums but my module screen is cracked and I can't see anything! Reeeee!!!
Greetings brother, what sensitivity and type of curve do you recommend for drums and cymbals?

@@breticles Thanks for such a detailed answer.
Another question, can I add drum kits from an external library? and save them inside the module

How to connect extra cymbel
Should be as easy as just plugging it in.
@@breticles I already done that but can't control the sound of that cymbels

Did you set the sensitivity to the highest on all triggers?

I upgraded to mesh heads as well
