Most people's favorite scene from the movie. I felt though that the ending was a little contrived, as both sides did equally well. I do wish they'd have used the sub-captioned version, as the conversation between the teachers was equally enjoyable. But on both sides... incredible musicians.
The biggest issue I have is that they show a clarinet playing on screen and have what sounds like a bass clarinet playing instead of a soprano clarinet.

I find Asian traditional instruments very interesting and they got me very interested in folk metal. One of my favorite groups is Wagakki Band from Japan, where they combine modern rock instruments with traditional instruments. Other favorites are Ni Ni Music from Taiwan, Moyun and Jingxuan playing the guhzeng, The HU Band from Mongolia, Otyken from Siberia and Bloodywood from India. Such interesting music.

The guy with the pipe brought dissonance to the melody. This instrument was out of place in this symphony, like a Russian accordion or balalaika. No wonder the guys with the violins looked at this guy like he was an idiot...
The Flight of the Bumblebee is literally a Russian music piece with a history of nice renditions by accordion or balalaika too, solo or with symphonic orchestra. He did disrupt playing of the FotB by "symphonists" with a different melody - but since it was a music battle, it's their problem not being able to keep their line, not his.
@@shodanki3736 As a symphonic orchestra, they had to be able to keep their melody, rather than finding the counterpart instrument (technically suona is a folk double-reed instrument i.e. a cousin to oboe), but failed it, and then failed again to catch it back, when "Chinese traditional" orchestra switched back to FotB.

These young people are amazing. Flight of the bumble bee can be difficult to play as a solo but for everyone to be spot on made my jaw drop.

民乐基本上都在中高音，低音部分没有乐器，所以新竹的民乐乐团没法子低音部分还是要一排base来顶着

這個問題比你想的複雜，中樂是鍾鼓算低頻擔當，月琴勉強算中低音，但主要中樂是沒設計出有廻音的演奏場，低音廻響效果不佳，高中低頻各有展現距離，但低頻聲音需要更遠距離，而且型狀複雜的木材建築還會吸音，空壙地方的低頻音波更有去無回，一般民樂演奏，低音樂器就沒有什麼位置。

你们难道不知道中国民乐是经历几千年长时间融合才产生的吗？里面的乐器大部分都是当朝执政党以外来自其他民族最优秀的传承，我看最近的演奏最后的乌干达人那个排箫和长萧也非常好，也可以收到民乐里面，中国民乐只收录乐器，从来没有在意过乐器的出处，真正赋予乐器灵魂的是演奏者。
