Ah, this is one of my favorites. I first learned of it by watching Marc Esserman play it. This video explains it very well. I would even be confident to play it in rapid chess.
Ive been waiting for mio to do a video on this for a long long time because the opening is right up his alley. I miss the titles tho, like smash the scand I with the leonhardt or something.
I really enjoy the Leonhardt to catch out Scandi players, with a winning percentage in my games too. Likewise, the Orthoschnapp gambit in the French catches my opponents off guard and I win the majority of games - with side-lines by my opponent producing very interesting middlegame positions i've never reached with other 1.e4 openings. Players who enjoy the Leonhardt I'd also strongly recommend the Orthoschnapp gambit
hey mio . just wanted to say you are one of the only youtubers that give the most comprehensive guide to any opening. I went from 400 to 600 to 1000! also i got 1000 elo because of your patzer opening lecture. thank you. ps: it is SUPER EASY to use So i am always up time!
Just bought your chessable butcher the sicilian and butcher the e5 course, and now im subbed to your channel.Your explinations and theory is so easy to follow, fantastic chess sir.
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial yeah I meant attacking with the Blackmar Diemer Gambit for White, accepted and declined, a series on this fun gambit would be great!
I knew this gambit but never used it. As I've just started to play bullets and I did face a few Scandinavian defence but they mostly played after Nc3 Qd8 or Qe6+ 😐😐
I toyed with this gambit for a period of time. I found it interesting and had some successes. Mostly, I discovered that the open b-file is seldom of much use and the rook on b1 ends up being awkwardly placed. It's a fun gambit that can surprise an opponent, but I don't think it's good for anything other than blitz.
I watched your older video with b4 delayed by a move where you play Nf3 first and against Nf6 push b4 to then even push a4. What happened to those lines? I used the delayed line today in a 90+30 game and won. Though that's mainly because opponent just blundered mate in 1 on move 9...
I feel.like we can even use this gambit in classical games due to its tactical.and long term compensation.we can lift rook to king side for attack
Many many many wins with this Gambit!!! I saw video from chess bra Thanks a lot big mio!!!!

Great video showing attacking ideas
2 out of 3 blitz games I've played, they didn't notice the pawn, not even pre-moving
Hahah, I meant win on quality but speaking of tricks, I am preparing an interesting video :)
I have never lose with this gambit
Oh I learned a different version of this from your chessbrah Scandi video where you play Nf3 first, then b4 and a4. Interesting.
This one is way more challenging for Black!

second game it uccured won against an 100 points higher rated in 3 minutes blitz before move 18. Should i post the game?
@@alexlehrersh9951 i wanna see it!
Hey, Mio, how are you 2day?👋...I'm assuming this gambit only works if black plays the ..Qa5 (e4 d5 ed Qd5 Nc3 Qa5)? 🤔
Only in that case! By the way, doing great, in Vegas for the past week and another 7 days 😀
Seems like I’ve been playing this without knowing what it was in my games
Time with BigMio to upgrade your knowledge 🤣

What is the threat when the Queen takes the sacrifice?
Rb1, d4, Nf3 Bc4, 0-0 this is why its called gambit, we sacrifice a pawn for fast development and active position of our pieces!
