My brother is a fan of a video game. So I said to him I can make that fish for you. It turned out really nice despite not having the right colors. He didn't mind that much. And as my first ever pattern I made from my head I'm very proud of myself. Anyways watching this video reminded me of that special moment. I hope that is an inspiration for you Lee. ❤
This is such a cute idea! I've got to get my niece to draw something and do the same 😍 I've just started making amigurumis for her. I admire your free hand crocheting skill!
Yeah same, this is such a cool idea. I remember seeing something on TV years ago where kids drew a monster and someone crafted them as soft dolls from fabric. I want to get better st winging it/freehanding too so I'm definitely going to give this a go
I love Mrs Anglerfish! She looks like something that would've swam past a porthole in The Yellow Submarine! You may have just lost all your free time to your nieces' and nephews' desires. The youngest may be just one now, but just you wait... she'll be handing you drawings before you know it. I did something a bit like this but in cross stitch which is just 2D. My hat's off to you once again! 🫡
Haha, I've done this with sewing projects (despite not actually knowing how to properly sew) as well as attempting to crochet things my kids draw. They ALWAYS seem to be impressed, but other adults just laugh and say "wow, couldn't you atleast try to make it look better?" And I'd explain "the point is to make it look like THEIR creation, not mine." Kids don't see one little wing and a big fat wing, they see two perfect wings they drew and when seeing your "adult recreation" they can recognize their faults while appreciating your truths! They love that it is "actually their" creation and not just something cool you made based on what they made
It is amazing you can do it freehand. I am sure that comes with experience. Using the double strand of red and yellow turned out fantastic! WOW! My favorite is Riley. Mrs. Anglerfish was very interesting, due to part of the details were put in by a needle and not a hook. I loved it!👍
Thank you for being transparent about how long these projects take to finish. Watching these 20 minute videos then taking a week to finish a project makes me feel insecure.
There are blue yarns on her peg board that are a closer blue. I love the orange and yellow together. I wonder if mixing the red and orange would also work
There's one that would've been a really good colour match but it's a completely different weight. And yeah, I'd like to keep the pegboard yarn for decoration....it was a pain to put up, I don't want to take it down unless I absolutely have to lol.
Both pieces are amazing! If I have to pick just one.......the bird. I think it is stunning how you just did that on the fly and it looks just like the picture. Now the big question is: will you be able to make another one? Did you write down or take notes what you did? This is why I stay away from Amigurumi. I can create something, but then can not duplicate it once I am done. You inspire me. Thank you for sharing your world. See you in the next one.
99% of the time I take notes and write down my patterns but in this case I didn't because I don't want to re-create these. They're special, one of a kind amigurumi just for my nephew 😂.
love how it's turn out! would love to see Riley reacts to his amigurumi self
He'd probably be scared of it tbh 😂
Love Riley in all forms! He could use a branch like the picture, though. I love kids' drawings brought to life!
The way you combined the yellow and orange is BEAUTIFUL!

I love the angler fish. Your talent for freehand crocheting and pattern making is amazing to me.
What a lovely art gallery! Your nephew must have been over the moon to see his artwork bought to life.

I think you did a marvellous job at both. They are both adorable. Glad you are feeling better.

Haha, she's already started. I have a nice stack of scribbles 😂
I love watching talented people create thank you for sharing, truly wish I had such h a gift 😊
I had green stained fingers on Monday at work after a Sunday in the art room.
Worth it.

Right?! The whole point is to appreciate their creativity not change it suit what we think is 'better'.

I love this! You nailed them! Awesome!!
You captured both pictures spot on. They are so cute.
This makes my heart so happy!!!
Very cool, would love to see more
Every video of yours is such a treat! Fridays are my first day off in the week, and I love to watch when you upload 🤎
such a sweet idea
That is so cute. I guess your nephew was excited about his drawings being your inspiration.
He was. I kept it a secret from him until I'd finished so it was nice to surprise him.
This is a fun idea, they both look cute! I like the bird, but the fish captures the drawing better, I think 🦜🐡
Agreed! 😊
Love this so much!!!🥰🥰🥰
I always love watching video and this concept is super cool ! You're very talented :)
They both turned out so good! I love this idea and would love seeing more like this. Kids come up with some of the best drawings
That art collection is one of the best ive seen yet. ❤
Yep, right up their with the Louvre 😂😂
I loved this! When I have kids I will definetely do this with one of their drawings
They are both great! The angler fish is def a LOL, cute mess and follows the original drawing closely. Free-hand crochet is satisfying, isn't it?!

Haha, yeah I was looking at the wall of blue too. ,ayne that stuff is strictly for decoration

Awwww
This was AMAZING to watch!
This is so fun! I actually made my first ever crochet design based on someone else's drawing. It's so fun to bring others' ideas to life. Well done!❤
Yes!! Seeing the excitement on my nephews face when he saw the finished pieces was super rewarding.
Fun! Turned out super cute! Thank you for sharing!❤
Your amazing...❤❤
