My parents had a blue galaxy and a brown galaxy fan. They move air and are quiet. The fans you buy in stores today are nothing but junk. I have a 1950 fasko fan that works very well. I use it all the time in the summer. I also have a 1913 robbins and meyers fan that still works. All brass blades. The oil cups are brass and the cage is all brass. It has all of its original patina on it. It's heavy at 35 pounds.

They're very common, although finding those branded Lasko is a little harder to find, but possible. They're not as rare as a 1980-81 Galaxy box fan model 6713 with the blue blades.
