¿Cómo te llamas? - Introducing yourself in Spanish - Coffee Break Spanish To Go Episode 1.01
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 чер 2018
- To say "my name is..." in Spanish you say "me llamo...". In this episode of Coffee Break Spanish To Go, Marina asks the question, "¿Cómo te llamas?" (informal) or "¿Cómo se llama usted?" (formal). You can use the answers of our interviewees to help you learn to introduce yourself in Spanish.
In the first part of the video, watch the interviews without subtitles and try to understand. In the second part of the video, we've provided subtitles in Spanish at the top of the screen. You can choose to turn on subtitles in English using the Subtitles/CC button.
In this first series of Coffee Break Spanish To Go, Marina is in the city of Málaga, in the south of Spain, and in each episode she'll ask passers-by one question. Of course, that one question will result in many answers, and it's through these answers that you can practise your Spanish and build your vocabulary.
Coffee Break Spanish To Go will be published every two weeks here on UA-cam, and each Season will be filmed in a different part of the Spanish-speaking world.
If you'd prefer not to wait for all 10 lessons of Season 1 to be published, you can access downloadable versions of the videos along with audio versions and lesson notes / transcripts in the Coffee Break Academy:

Hola!
Me llamo Evgeny! I was born in Russia, but moved to Canada.
I have heard so many different answers to say what is my name. I got confused of what told Ignacio 00:52 and 01:26. Even though I heard Yo voy Ignacio.. But it was written something else. Talking about verb voy. I know it means go.. Let's say father is calling me to come and I say Yo voy (I am coming/ I am going/ I come/ I go). So when someone ask your name you can't use verb Voy.
In google translator (Even it most of time is wrong) and in movie El Labirinto del Fauno, I heard as Fauno introduced him to little lady saying that way - Yo soy Fauno. So I have question for you to confirm. Is it OK to answer Yo soy Evgeny when someone asks my name in Spanish?
Thank you in advance! Wait for your answer! Best Regards! :-)
@@EvgenySK007 This is a late reply and sorry for bad inglish. He said me llamo it kinda just sound like voy. Also u can said yo soy and then ur name but I wouldnt recommend it since some ppl might get confused that ur talking about where ur from❤️

exactly, it was so passive aggressive too-
@@salemissocoolandamazingwhoa i know 😂
it's standard for Coffee Break Spanish - they say something in Spanish and let you repeat it, or answer the question based on what you've heard. Standard learning method, nothing 'passive-aggressive about it.

I'm studying with Busuu and the first lesson is
¿cómo te llamas? But they're saying “¿cómo te zhamas?”
I'm thinking “I know I'm just beginner, but that doesn't sound right to me!”
Glad I checked, and glad I was right!
They do say it that way in some places so don't worry
@@paulahenderson5371 Is it a Caribbean thing vs a European thing, or a Rural vs Urban thing? Where am I likely to hear it and what “dialect” am I being taught?
@@wilfdarr It's more of a European VS a Caribbean/South America thing. A very similar example is British vs American English
@@carles608 Thanks. That's kind of what I expected.
in Andalusia (e.g .Sevilla) the double-L often comes out like a -zh- ... confusing until you get used to it.
