    I really enjoyed this brief history of the Magyar people and the background of our bow. I'm a direct decendant of the Magyar archers and would love for you to do a more in depth history of them in the future. Keep up the great work. All the best.

      Sorry Aidan from New Jersey, just because your ancestor 500 years ago was a magyar and you having 1% of their dna doesn’t really make you a direct descendant 👍

    Bit of trivia for you, Magyar is the original name of the people of Hungary, and as it just so happens, I'm part Hungarian and Part English.

      Turkish bow is more evolved, it has full C shape. The hungarian bow is less curved.

    I thought the name Hungary came from "on-ogur", not from the Huns

    • @frosthammer2386
      @frosthammer2386 2 роки тому +3

      This is true. Between te huns and the hungarians is some kind of relation, but the term hungarian, as you whrote, came from the world onogur.

    • @StrangerSpace
      @StrangerSpace 2 роки тому +2

      @@frosthammer2386 This is not "true", this is just a version.. And using such phrases as "some kind of relation" this version becomes too weak - like "some kind of true". In fact, it's obvious, that late Magyars ancestors were the main tribe of the tribes union called "hunns". This version is supported by the fact, that onogur is turkic word and if your version were true, then instead of Magyars some turkic speaking folk would live now in Hungary, but it doesn't and there live Finno-Ugric Magyars which were the core of Hunns..

    • @frosthammer2386

      @@StrangerSpace Between the Huns from Asia, and the Magyars, is a genetical relation. But I won't say that this 'Magyars were the core of the Huns' thing is true, because we do not have evidence for this. About the language of the Magyars: This language is one part Finno-Ugric, with turkish influence. The language of the Huns, in most cases was also one of the turkik languages.

    • @StrangerSpace
      @StrangerSpace 2 роки тому +1

      @@frosthammer2386 I'll tell you more, all people in the world have a genetical relation.. )) One can't rely on genetical studies because for them to be even a little representable, you have to test millions of people, and they didn't test even 100.. And they didn't test real Hunns from Urals and Siberia at all.. Magyar language is totally Finno-Ugric with a little turkish inluence because Hungary were part of Osman empire for about 100 years.. But a bit of _turkic_ influence could happen much earlier.. Best evidence that Magyars were core of Hunns is that they settled in the heart of Atilla's empire.. Would turkic tribes allow that if they were main in the Hunnic union? Just NO..

      @@StrangerSpace You say these, because you read some kind of scientific work? Or just because you heard somewere?
      I am hungarian, and as such I want to know about my nation's history. Because of that I read books about the Magyars. One of these was called 'Magyar őstörténet', wich was made due to the works of the MTA (Magyar Tudományos Akadémia). In that book clearly stays the thing, that the turkish influence in the hungarian language came much earlyer from the past than the XVI. century.
      About the huns, and their relation with the Magyars: I wathced a videoconference about the asian and the european huns. This videoconference was realised with the help, and the work of many great expers (not only from Hungary). They determined the genetical relation between the asian huns, and the Magyars.
      These are my sources. Not some kind of conspiracy theory or some other things. These are informations, wich were told or published by experts.

      Szerintem épp eléggé elvegyültünk európába, rengeteg európai nép költözött be a mi szép hazánkba, és genetikailag teljesen elvegyültünk. Ha jól megnéz bennünket, nem nagyon fog tudni különbséget tenni a többi európai néptől.

      Almost 50% of Hungarian DNA is Indo-European. There are a lot of different "cultures" these days that fall under that umbrella.
