Refering to 44:00 If there are multiple levels of existence does this mean experiencing non duality is a never ending process? We know it is real but we just have to make a concession that we can only perceive the physical world and can only communicate with words and symbols.
The very fact that u r asking that u need to make concession is because u want to understand the self or brahaman via mind. Subject never knows itself as object. That's completely absurd. The reality is u r already perfect and enlightened but u identify urself as me and my body , my mind, my senses, me and others. That's the problem. Removal of problem is the key thing.

Kanchanji, important question. But, I wonder if Swamiji would say, since you already know that hurt occurs in the mind, and one is not the mind, then who is hurting? I think our problem is that we are unable to disengage ourselves from the mind, and by extension the body. But with continuous vichara/sadhana, perhaps a time will come when like the kernel from an old coconut's shell (Shri Ramakrishna's analogy), I, the real I, will disengage from the mind and consider it as no different from everything else it perceives. That would still be a Sankhya position, not Advaita, but it'd still help with the pain.

How knowing the answer to this question will make you happier? Your mind pops this question because it is really enjoying the worldly senses. A deeply sense pleasure oriented mind would refuse to consider anything but the fact that this "samosa" is an absolute reality. That is why this non-duality is only taught to the monks, traditionally. We can preach this non-duality from the top of the Mount Everest to entire 7.5 billion people, barely 7 of them will get enlightened. Not so easy or not so fast...
Good question. Several followers of Advaita ask this question. Answers include 1. Like you wrote 'this whole false world', there was no actual creation. Brahma Satya, Jagat Mithya - Brahman is the only Reality; The World is an Appearance 2. This Universe, World etc is Brahman. Everything is undivided Consciousness 3. Both above points are consistent with Non-Duality Hope I have been of polite help. Om Tat Sat 🕉
Swami explained this in one video using Swami Chinmayananda's experience with Tapovan Swami. To drink water, glass / cup is needed. To experience Brahman, universe is needed. When universe disappears in enlightenment, the question will cease. The question of "why maya" cannot be answered within the sphere of Maya. Beyond Maya, the question is moot.

Idiot... Please go and find out what Ramakrishna Mission does??? Since the last 100 years this monks are trying their best in the service to mankind... What have you done done??
It is a very valid question Marcelo. Let me try to answer. There are two things that Advaita Vedanta speaks about - Paramartika (Absolute truth) and Vyavaharika (World or empirical reality). All the things you mention are about Vyavaharika or practical daily life. The mutt does a lot of Karma yoga on Vyavaharika in many countries and cities. Paramartika is about the non-dual reality or Brahman and enlightenment and the talks are about that. A person can be interested only in vyavaharika and can believe only that is real and makes sense and he is not wrong. In fact, that is Karma yoga and path to purify the mind of all its impurities and proceed towards enlightenment faster. If a person is questioning the limitation of vyavaharika, and wants to find the truth, then these talks help towards that. It would be a category mistake to think that these talks should help towards vyavaharika as they are intended for paramartika. On your question 'does it help towards Personal happiness' - yes and no. Advaita Vedanta defines happiness as the equanimous state that is beyond pain and pleasure. If you are talking about that kind of happiness, yes. If you are talking material happiness, that would be vyavaharika and not addressed here. Hope this helps. Pranams!
@@sankarakrishnan8707 What I agree upon is that the mind is very "plastic" (as neurologists say) and we can believe many different things, as the world is full of philosophies, religions, cults, dogmas. They also say that the brain/mind needs to "anchor"; we need to believe in something -- in one degree or another. We need guidance and patterns, parameters to hold on to. My personal "philosophy" is: don't bother others, don't let others bother you, increase your empathy, and I accept my mind's limitations -- along with the idea that there is no "ignorance", but mysteries. But the mystery is so up to a point, since whatever created and is creating This, is able to create it. Writing from my personal experience - how just the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta, some practice of worship and regular meditation helps in attaining peace in our current transactional world. Whenever, there is something which fills me with grief or stress, I close my eyes and on the count of 5 dissolve the physical world, next count of 5, dissolve the physical body, then the subtle body, then the causal body and finally reside for sometime in what remains - saying to myself, Ahmbrahmasmi. It gives instant relief and also clarity in mind, detaching myself with the feeling/ thought. Advaita Vedanta works wonders. Thank you Swamiji, for bringing this knowledge to me. I have seen ALL your videos not just once but many times. I learn from you not just advaita but also the skill of keeping the audience engaged. I marvel on your memory, the way you remember books, authors, instances and bring it out at the most appropriate time. Thank you Swamiji. Accept my Pranam. You are the Guru, hence more revered then even God because you bring thee to me !

Are mind, thoughts, feelings and awareness different? How we can control mind and thoughts ? How we can stop reacting and avoid hurting ourselves by others when they abuse? When someone very badly abuse, insult and treat disrespectfully, how we can respond lovingly and feel compassionate to abusers?
Pranam Swami Ji. You are a Great Speaker. The Vedanta teachings are not very easy to understand but there are few simple learnings in your lectures which I try to grasp. I want to ask a few Qs (general) but how I don't know. Is there any plateform other than your Live lectures (which I could never attend). I would be blessed if I could reach you. Pranam.
I don't see this problem of setting on one deity for worship. I pray and chants Om x where x starts from Ganesha , Bishnu, Shiva, Mahadeba, Krisha, Raa, Narayana, Hari, Kali , Tara, Kalika, Vishalaxi, Bhabotarini, Durga, Saraswati, Laschmi, Jagadamba, Jagadhatri, Annapurna,, Brahmamoyee, Karunamoyee, Aja-Anadi-Ananta--Asheem-Adwitiya-Savabyapi-Chaitanya as well as Mata, Pita- Pitamaha-Pitamahi-Mataoho, Matamohi, Pritipurusha, Purbo Purusha, besides RanaKrisna. I pray to them in 4/5 short duration sessions totallling about 0-105 minutes. I find no conflict thinking they are all the same and One Chaitnya unlimited. I rather like the diversity and the concentration/focus/ level remains the same. I get considerable relief/relaxation after each of these sessions. Except for one or two short Sanskrit verses, all my prayers is just chanting names and self composed prayer in Bengali for submission and help/blessing. My mind has less time to suffer now. My behavior has been changing reducing the incidence and intensity of anger, frustration.etc that I don't like. Am I doing something wrong? My goal is advancing towards Self-realisation. At this age of 74 theres is ery little real desire or ambition to achieve materially.
I have a question for Swamiji. When a realized person dies he is supposed to merge into Brahman for all eternity. But WHO is going to be enjoying this nitya mukta, bcz You are not there, since yr ahankara /individuality is now annihilated. Pl explains the implications of merging into Brahman. YOU do Not continue at all. It's like cutting off yr head because you have a headache. In my opinion this is the Flaw of Adwaita teaching. Will be waiting for an answer.
What &How to do is more important than mere theory. Only who has done sadhna and acheived such a state can teach people in perfect manner. I think total surrender, mantra japa, karma, leave outer world by mind, and antarmukh means smaran all the time, live contact with God like RamKrishna dev is must for success. Wherever my mind goedI feel God a saint says means no other thought than God(one pointed focus this is.)

Also by the by one more saying There is no saint without a past and no sinner without a future. By the way I am 67 years old. May God bless you Swati ji . With all my love to you. Take care.
@@swatimeswani6531 Dear Swathi ji, It was so long ago that I do not remember which talk it was. But I can go through some of the talks of 2016/2017 of Swami Sarvapriyanada ji. Easy way is to contact New Yok Vedanta centre . Swami ji would be able to recall the topic in which he mentioned about putting his positive karma against a Parkinson's patient.
Yes, everything is possible. Jai Sri Ramakrishna.
Pranam !!
Will we get 'Vedanta in 5 parables' video of 20.12 sunday session on youTube?
I was also looking for the same.Couldn't find it.
I am also waiting for it!
Dear young man. May God give you life of a million year and continue to liberate suffering souls
It was my question that then time is only Maya, l got the answer clearly. Many many thanks to Network Vedanta Society and sotokoti pranam to Maharaj. Please take my pranam.
Where did you write your question to? I want to ask but don't know how can I convey my question to Maharaj
He is such an enlightened master and yet so humble!!
Only enlightened are humble. If you find an arrogant one you know better
Swamiji, eternally indebted and grateful to you for your lucid talks and wonderful discourses.

My heartiest salutations to you Swamiji. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Swami,
If you nullify all your knowledge which were gathered through the senses , then the Truth reveals itself.
The Consciousness, the God or the source of creation, which We truly are is self revealing.
Namaskaram Guru to your Lotus feet.
I now gathered why You have come to such a feeble unimportant Planet as ours.
🙏🙏🙏
Consciousness do never seek a mirror,
It's a mirror in itself

How the Humans with limited awareness realise the Divinity with its primitive brains and the limited windows of experience.
We can do Here.
With The Complete Grace of Shiva upon You, I meant by Shiva, it's just a word, without a Form,
I meant Jesus, Allah, Budha, Jaina or Sikh Tirth Saheb

Good work everybody in comments section. Rarely I see videos with these many positive comments and genuine good questions!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Is not Parabrahman superior to Brahman? Nisargadatta Maharaj says yes. He even says that Brahman itself is a "problem" and that only Parabrahman is Real and worthy of being attained.

The previous live-stream (20th December - "Vedanta in Five Parables"), I missed due to my studies. Now, when I try to watch the video it says that the video is Private, can you please public that. Thanks.
It would be uploaded in 2 to 3 days usually
@@dgemini5327 Thanks for the info.
@51:18 - the impossible to explain is explained. The impossible to understand is understood. !!! Thank you Swamiji.
Namaskaram Guru 🙏🙏🙏
Namaskaram Swamiji 🙏🌷

Pranam.
Sharanam Guru Deva 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Jai Sri Ramakrishna Jai Sri Ramakrishna Jai Sri Ramakrishna Jai Sri Ramakrishna Jai Sri Ramakrishna
Mr Sarvapriyananda, how do you make a living? Who is feeding you? Why do you think you know how to uncover the "ultimate reality"?
Thank you so much Swami G for explaining so clearly.
Swamiji is our era's (21st century) vivekananda 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Given that everything is nondual, shouldn't we start referring to ourselves as "iterations"?
Greatest clarity in your explanation about Advaitha vedantha and I could understand more with the metaphor of 'Samsara' which is a 'Movie' played on the screen which is consciousness at the background!
Shame that India is left with strange Monks..atleast those getting limelight and Swami like sarvapriyananda are based in USA.
Reality of current world around us and knowledge base understanding will ease the struggle to be spiritual .One can move towards the liberation in a way consistently.
Hare Krishna Swami ji🙏🙏🙏
After listening about GYaan yoga I can not do Bhakti . What should I do?
Pranam Swamiji. I want to ask, my body is paining, hurting. How can I think, it is illusion, and ignore it?
Hello, I Am That which is NOT that, yet that which is is no other than that which I Am , nice to meet you. 😆 wait, never do this.
Love the Swami, somebody clear this doubt, why do you call him Swami G, what's the G?
It is Swami ji
Ji in the language of Hindi, is added after a person's name to indicate respect, like the word "Sir" or "Madam"
It is gender neutral.
How can we ask question to Swamiji?
Jai Ramkrishna !
Pranam swami ji, I want to ask a question about maandukyopnishad...
We are not pragyanghanam
".. न प्रज्ञानघनं ... "
And it means we are not absoulte bramha which vedant said ? Whats does it means that we are not pragyanghanam ?
Please give the answer swami ji
Na - Prajnana Ghanam. It means "we are not the sleeper"
Dear Swami. What does Advait vedanta say about good and bad actions
All actions are in vyavaharika - empirical reality - and does not affect Brahman. In vyavaharika, good yields punya and joy and bad yields papa and misery.
हरिःऊँ, प्रणाम, स्वामीजी।
Happy Thoughts...
Namaste Swamiji 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The next time.,
