It is weird and cool, but it's still not quite my voice exactly to me, because it speaks in a different accent to mine :D It's clever technology though, no doubt. I'm the first person to have it in a game, I think
Thanks! I do know GalCiv quite well but I don't play it as much as some other people do, so I'm by no means an expert. However, it's impossible to play something so much and not eventually get quite good at it :D
Also going back to GC4 to try out the warlords and 2.5 changes. Almost played the Baratak too, but decided on Drath to try out a (maybe) more econ focused civ.
I think I also played a game with these guys. Pretty sure I put an Atmospheric Cleanser on my homeworld as soon as possible to get the pollution down to 0%.
Interesting that you make colonies when there are so many core worlds available. Have to think on that some. Clearly nearby colonies give instant production (man and res). Hmmm.
Yes, it's by no means obvious whether developing Core Worlds or having a few with lots of attached Colonies is the best option in any game. This is why I love Supernova, there's a lot going on in the economic layer.
First time coming across your channel. Awesome content. If I may... one small criticism. Your reliance upon the crutch phrase, "really, really"... is a bit much at times. None the less, this is some top notch content.
I've always wanted to get into this game I just struggle with the opening moments. I feel like sometimes I just can't get enough resources to build ships and just get stomped by the AI. I'm usually pretty decent at 4X, Civilization styled games but GalCiv has always stopped me lol.
There's a bit of a learning curve to it, and like all 4X games once you've learned to minmax it, it gets a lot easier and veteran players tend to have their own house rules as a result. In GalCiv, like all space 4X really, you need to focus on colonisation as fast as possible, while building your industry to sustain development. There's a lot of fun to be had in the exact balance you need though.
Really interested in this playthrough! I'm about to get back into it myself. Its a fun game, but ultimately I'm struggling to find any strategy that is half as good as influence spam. Its disheartening. The problem is playing anything else just causes me to lose my planets to .... influence spam. There really is no inbetween in my experience.
That's not a thing now, the Influence mechanic got a huge nerf and it's a lot harder to use so aggressively now. GalCiv is more about "How do you want to win" than just beelining for the easiest victory type I think.
It must be weird and cool where you hear your own voice while playing the game

Battle, it's good to see you making those vids! I love your style. Keep it going.
Love watching your gal civ 4 playthroughs. I appreciate your perspective as someone very familiar with the game's development

Been a fan watching all your galciv 4 series and I really enjoyed them! Can't wait for more videos to come out!
Thanks! More incoming as I get a moment. Been really busy recently...
Watched the whole vid and never once you asked me what are my orders lol.
Glad to see you back at this game, it's been a while and I'm longing to see the new battle system in action :)
It's great, can't wait to show it off!
Looking forward to Ep. 02.

They are Economy focused, the Drath are really good fun to play as

You tried GC4 since the recent updates? Not sure it completely fixes all the complaints I saw you had with it but it's definitely improving.

I don't remember complaining a lot about it. :D
But no, I haven't played it in a while. Currently too busy.
Aha, so it is you on Stardocks. Great Sins of the solar empires 2 videos you made there.
Thanks! They've been quite popular and I'm pretty happy with them so far.
Did I read something about cloaking devices have been added in this expansion?
Cloaking has been added
@@SC-un1or Cool, very cool 😎
@@jelliottii It's got a cool new graphical effect now too
Interesting, I also started as Baratak after the release of Warlords. They are cool, though, it's not easy to manage their approval...
Yeah they're a handful but I'm enjoying the challenge. The ability to seed dead worlds is really nice.

Ah I didn't notice that! Thanks, I'll try to stop :)
I kept thinking you were having audio issues but then realized it was just that you stopped talking and were listening to your voice in game! 😅

Time for fries!
Great stuff, but man... I can't even watch as fast as you put videos out. lol
My output has slowed right down recently, I've had less time for gaming believe it or not.
@@battlemode Ah. Well, the most important thing is that things are good in your life.
