- Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova has finally had the upgrade I've been waiting for: a drastically improved combat system that gives the player a lot more agency when it comes to ship and fleet composition, and a better combat UI to see it all play out too.
In this series, I play a large map as the Baratak Grove. We're trying to find a solution to pollution while fending off some of the worst neighbours a plant based race could possibly have in GalCiv. - Ігри

It is weird and cool, but it's still not quite my voice exactly to me, because it speaks in a different accent to mine :D
It's clever technology though, no doubt. I'm the first person to have it in a game, I think

Thanks! I do know GalCiv quite well but I don't play it as much as some other people do, so I'm by no means an expert. However, it's impossible to play something so much and not eventually get quite good at it :D

Interesting, I also started as Baratak after the release of Warlords. They are cool, though, it's not easy to manage their approval...
Yeah they're a handful but I'm enjoying the challenge. The ability to seed dead worlds is really nice.

First time coming across your channel. Awesome content. If I may... one small criticism. Your reliance upon the crutch phrase, "really, really"... is a bit much at times. None the less, this is some top notch content.

Also going back to GC4 to try out the warlords and 2.5 changes. Almost played the Baratak too, but decided on Drath to try out a (maybe) more econ focused civ.
They are Economy focused, the Drath are really good fun to play as
I kept thinking you were having audio issues but then realized it was just that you stopped talking and were listening to your voice in game! 😅
I think I also played a game with these guys.
Pretty sure I put an Atmospheric Cleanser on my homeworld as soon as possible to get the pollution down to 0%.
You tried GC4 since the recent updates? Not sure it completely fixes all the complaints I saw you had with it but it's definitely improving.

Interesting that you make colonies when there are so many core worlds available. Have to think on that some. Clearly nearby colonies give instant production (man and res). Hmmm.
Yes, it's by no means obvious whether developing Core Worlds or having a few with lots of attached Colonies is the best option in any game. This is why I love Supernova, there's a lot going on in the economic layer.
Really interested in this playthrough! I'm about to get back into it myself. Its a fun game, but ultimately I'm struggling to find any strategy that is half as good as influence spam. Its disheartening. The problem is playing anything else just causes me to lose my planets to .... influence spam. There really is no inbetween in my experience.
That's not a thing now, the Influence mechanic got a huge nerf and it's a lot harder to use so aggressively now.
GalCiv is more about "How do you want to win" than just beelining for the easiest victory type I think.
Did I read something about cloaking devices have been added in this expansion?
