Idk if your still on your tube but I did a print on my daughter nails and used gel stamping polish. Cured for 2 min and applied matte top coat. The print smeared! Why? Why did this happen? I don’t understand. 😩
The gel stamping polish must not have been cured all the way . What kind of lamp are you using ? Is it one of those tiny lamps ? If it is , it’s not strong enough to cure your gel stamping polishes . You are going to have to cure it longer than 2 minutes with smaller lamps . Also , make sure your lamp is not a led lamp . If your stamping gel is uv curing only , it will not cure in a led lamp . You need to cure it in a uv lamp or a dual lamp . Dual lamps cure both uv gels and led gels .
@@Denisejohn65NailEd awesome! My lamp is 84 watts. I will look up up the dual portion of the lamp because I am unsure of that part. I also thought maybe the top coat was old so I opened a new bottle to redo same print, and it happened again as I was applying it. Same as before. The print didn’t smear as much but thanks for giving me an idea of what may had happened.
To tell you the truth ….. I don’t ever really use the gel stamping polish. I prefer to use regular air dry stamping polish , then I top coat it with Born Pretty no smear top coat , let that dry ( it dries fast ) then I top coat with a gel top coat , then cure . Or a regular top coat can be used as well .
Well using gel polish is forgiving . If you mess up you remove everything and the gel polish stays on . ( less work to do over ) Using regular polish means if you mess up you will be removing everything !
