Hello! I love this work, but I will use acrylics since oils are too intimidating for me. Will I get the same effect?
Good day to you! ❤
Do you use a paint retarder for your acrylics? If not it will get very diffiucult unfortunately as the acrylics dry way too quick. And don`t feel intimidated by oil colours...they are the best tool you can use to get to a realistic result! WAY easier to blend than acrylics...and if you use only linseed oil for thinning them down they are also not harmful for your health! I started to paint with acrylics but as soon as I started to paint with oils my art stepped up A LOT in no time - you really should give them a try, really WAY!! better than acrylics :-))))
I like the idea of using a retarder. And I love how oil paintings turn out but I just want to practice my skills before I jump into oils. I will follow this painting first and see how it turns out with acrylics. Thank you for such a kind reply! :)
@@alizanadeem3255 to be honest - if you definitely do plan on switching to oils, everything you do with acrylics is a little bit of a waste of time and money...you will understand when you did the switch and you will a bit regret not to have it done earlier ;-) You will need different skills when painting with oils...and starting to practice with them as early as possible will make sure that you do not waste your time with a medium that you will definitely leave. Believe me, I used acrylics and after I made the switch I regretted to have wasted my time with the acrylics. Would have been way faster where I am now had I done the switch earlier.
@@brennerfineart wow, that sure makes sense! Thank you for the advice lol. I’ll save up to get some oil supplies now haha
@@alizanadeem3255 You`re welcome Aliza :-))) You will NOT regret getting the oil colours!
Hi, malst du nach Referenzfotos?
Ja. wenn man einigermaßen realistisch malen will führt kein Weg an guten Referenzphotos vorbei.
Ich weiß ;) zeig sie doch bitte mal.
Übrigens mag ich deine Bilder und auch deine Vielseitigkeit.
