I like the longer compilations the most. I have Narcolepsy & another sleep disorder, which cause me to fall asleep fairly quickly, but I also wake up various times throughout the night . I usually replay whatever episode I'm listening to several times throughout the night, so that I can catch all the stories.
SAME! but I have trouble getting to sleep though. Anyways. I always wake up (bathroom time) thru the night. So I always just replay what I fell asleep to.
Oh my goodness me too!!! I'm anemic though, and I have random bouts of insomnia, I'm on a sleep aid for it. Oh my goodness lol I can't believe that happens to someone else too

The first story was submitted by someone from the Philippines. The Siyokoy is a mythological creature, much like the "sirena" (mermaid) or "aswang" (shapeshifting vampire). It is believed to have been living at the bottom of rivers and oceans, abducting people. They are described as man-fish, but unlike mermaids, they have scales all over, complete with all the dorsal fins, and the face of a fish. But there are inconsistencies with regards to whether or not they possess legs or a fish tail, though they were believed to have upper limbs.
I have been to New Orleans three times. All pre-Katrina. It was an amazing, unique, and a culture shocking experience. We went to a blues festival. On our way back, we walked, rather than get a cab. We saw an old, farmer looking man walking towards us, overalls and all. As he got closer, I realized he was in full drag makeup. Just on his face. No wig. No fancy clothes. And I immediately knew I would always have a special place in my heart for New Orleans. We were also offered crack, almost mugged, stung by a poisonous caterpillar, but those are stories for another time.

Listened to a documentary a few months ago on mental health issues & there was a slot on listening to scary/monster/ & ghostly stories & if they always seem to send u to sleep & not have nightmares then you are a pretty well adjusted person! This harks back to children's fairy stories being read at night by loving parent/grandparent etc & how kids love scary ones & lets face it, some bedtime stories for little ones can be gruesome & terrifying but they love them & sleep soundly wthout nightmares & are as well adjusted as children as they are in adulthood. It's to do wth safe & snuggly in bed, loving family member in attendance reading to them & feeling utterly safe & genuinely enjoying scary tale. So that's why so many of you fall asleep hearing these stories! 😪

Falling asleep while those stories are playing in the background has honestly given me my most interesting, vivid and scary yet enjoyable dreams... I was *living* them
This is why I don’t go camping. The idea of only a thin canvas wall protecting me from whatever animal or beast is out there just doesn’t make sense
really no difference between camping in the woods or living in brick & mortar surrounded by humans...

I love the long ones with multiple stories but sticking to the same setting like in the woods. Always love falling asleep to your voice and waking up and rewinding the episode back to where I remember just before falling asleep. Great job, keep up the awesome content!

Thank you so much for letting us know what kind of stories are in each compilation. I'm all about the monsters and ghosts, but the generic "creepy asshole tried to kill/stalk/whatever me" is not something I personally can stand to hear about and knowing it's mixed into a compilation then I know where I can skip it.
Like, there's enough generic creepy assholes around every corner and I'm tired. lol
I like those stories because they are more likely to be true then the under the bed monster who feeds on your soul while u sleep

As I watched the exorcist aged 7 and other horror from young age I'm finding getting a bit scares hard work..but alone in bed in my flat with the lights out laying in the dark your narrating can creep me out and I love getting a lil scared even from such a young age...so at 50 years of age I have a little smile as I drop off to sleep n never have nightmares.cheers for the spooky.

LadyReignAK, I’m glad you saw New Orleans (my hometown) before Katrina! Right before it actually. I hope you come back. We have rebuilt a vast majority of the historically significant locations, but even 18 years later, there are still quite a few obvious signs of Katrina’s destruction.
Also, FYI, twilight is the time the veils separating this world from theirs are the thinnest. That old lady was a protector, she appeared as a frightening figure so you’d heed her warning.

The scariest thing isn’t monsters, not mythical creatures, and legendary entities, but the primal side of humanity and it’s primal cousins the things in the dark...
I woke up face to face with a ghost at the foot of my bed it was a green glowing color man wearing clothes all one color green glow... I sat up rubbed my eyes in disbelief we locked gazes then it vanished moments later after looking side to side .. Another time me and my girlfriend were visited by a bright light outside so bright it lit up the room brighter than the sun , to scared to go outside and investigate I could only walk around the room and get back in bed whatever it was made us fall back asleep even in the intense light ..thought it might of been. Aliens ... True stories ...

@@lynn-hm4nb 2019 is when my daughter was kidnapped by a demonic enttity..then said entity inpersonated her. A black mass entity caused my tabby cat to go missing.. I have been assaulted by malicious beongs ever since,while i'm in bed,outside,or driving ..I wish someone who help me.
