This train helped to whet my appetite as the old Chicago Short Line would send their entire fleet which was 2 SW 1500 and 2 SW 1000 2 break up a train like this at the old Youngstown Sheet and Tube later on LTV in East Chicago. For sheer gutsy work Indiana Harbor Belt would put 3 NW2s on the coal trains from the Inland steel mines in Illinois and take them from the Illinois Central to the mill in East Chicago. Of course your videos got the coils going the other way and that puts it way over the top. On a good weather day no less I wish I was there personally to feel the ground shaking
Hi Stephen, I did not know you were in the Pittsburgh Area. My work week starts tomorrow, but if you're back in the area on a Thursday or Friday and looking for someone to do a little rail fanning with, let me know. Also Roy has moved his ops sessions to Thursdays, I can't remember when you were there, if it was a Wednesday or Thursday? But Roy's has now been having them on Thursdays.
