Glad sb thought of this bc I have no clue what I’m doing.
Thank you Dr!!! This is a brilliant method as my daughter hates having a toothbrush in her mouth
I breastfeed my baby to sleep. Is it okay to brush her teeth in the morning after each time of weaning only?
I came to see when to start using the toothbrush because I actually started with using just a washcloth and I just thought at the time that it was much simpler I don’t think it’s gonna be a problem introducing him to the brush because he always seems intrigue when ever I use it and tbh I kinda tried it 1 or 2 times and I think he really finds it fascinating lol
Yes , a wet cloth is enough in the initial stage

Thank’s
Thank you Dr. Yim!
My baby is 1yr old already and she has 1 upper central incisor and 2 lower central incisor. I didn’t brush her teeth yet because I’m afraid and I don’t know where to start. Is it okay if I will still use cloth for brushing the teeth or it would be better to use silicone brush? What stokes and how many times to brush the upper/lower teeth?
You’re doing great! That’s totally fine to keep using the face cloth. You can start to introduce the brush when she starts to grow her baby molars. Clean her teeth after every meal.
But I usually just do it twist a day in the morning when I wash him up which usually happens after a mean and I the night and then I feed him after so technically I dont do it at that time guess I’ll start doing it more often
Yes. After every meal. If brushing is not possible every time , just make him/ her drink water
Hi!! My baby is 19 months old. He has 6 tooth only. How should I clean his tooth??
Hello, what about the tongue ?
Hello I was wondering should I Do this at every feeding?
My 10month baby has got 8 teeth now. He bites a lot when I try to clean his tongue.
Been doing this but my son is biting my finger - and it really hurts. Basically throbbing after I am done. Any other suggestions? Haha
Hi, my baby is 4 month old and her second molar is already showing, none of the rest of the teeth are showing, is it normal?
Hello I'm from the Philippines. I have a 2 - year old boy. Whenever I'm going to clean his teeth he's so uncomfortable and start crying, followed by a tantrums. What should I do about it? Thanks
Use very soft bristle brush and do brushing very gently. Make baby play with toothbrush, then he’ll be comfortable. Make brushing fun for him :)
Should you use a toothpaste with fluoride, or without?
No toothpaste needed :) 1:20
Hi, my baby is 11 month old and she's not having any teeth yet.I am worried about it please guide me
It's normal... I have a baby that at one doesn't have a teeth and now she does
I have 14mon old. Im using dr browns finger brush but my baby still has some smelly breath which doesn’t seem to go away. Can you suggest a good toothpaste which j can use with the brush
My babies doctor recommended fluoride drops.. I’m hearing it’s bad tho.. everyone’s saying something different. My sister just used non toxic no fluoride toothpaste. Idk what to do
How old is your baby?
@@sagewooddentalcare4986 10 months old
You need not use any toothpaste for a 10 month old baby.... wiping off with a hygienic wet cloth enough in the initial stages, later you can try soft brushes

Nooooo Flouride! Not even for yourself.
In brushing babies teeth, do I need to use toothpaste?
You can start introducing toothpaste the size of a grain of rice when the baby molars appear.
How often should you clean them? After every feeding?
Yes. We have to remember that it’s not likely you’re going to get all of the teeth in one try. So, clean their teeth and gums after every feeding and you should be okay. Good luck!
When can I introduced a step 1 manual brush to baby?
You can introduce a step 1 brush when your baby’s first molar appears in the mouth. The brush will help you reach farther back in the mouth. However, your child may chew on it rather than let you brush with it. You will need to continue using the finger wiping technique as in the video and use the brush to make them feel like a big boy or girl :). Best of luck!
@@sagewooddentalcare4986 thank you so much..
Kindly suggest which brush can be best for the baby..
Till 4 years of age , brushing of child’s teeth should be done by parents
Brushing should be started as soon as first teeth erupts in mouth
My 18 month babys tooth is turning a lit bit color yellow. What should i do?
Slight yellowing of the lower front teeth is quite common. It may be due to some tartar buildup on the teeth. Try to have a dentist take a look at it (or even send a photo) to make sure that it’s not a health problem for your baby.
@@drbyim thanks for the reply. Will definitely going to the dentist when its safe to go out with a toddler.
