Dude at the beggining of the trailer, i thought this movie was gonna be some emotional drama about abuse, maybe theyd end up falling in love of something. Holy shit was i wrong Edit: Woah, thanks for the likes
Gary Oldman is such a chameleon, I had to pause the video to check if it's him I'm seeing. A whole film can be done with 10 characters starring just Gary Oldman and I might not even notice.
I posted the same comment. It is definitely a retake on that. I also feel like there is a small nod to another Hitchcock film in how it looks like she is being set up to be crazy. The fact that there is someone "playing the wife". What is the movie is the one where the guy is scared of heights?
I thought the same thing. There was also that movie about a teenager on house arrest who thinks his neighbour is a killer. But this looks like an interesting twist on Rear Window
Because they snatched Hitchcock's ideas. And camera angles. And dramaturgy. The anxiety is new - somehow You gotta immobilize Your witness, and an anxiety disorder is a good, feminine way to put her stuck as well as pitch her attentiveness into paranoia-levels. The drugs are new. The computertechnology from google to cellphones is all new. I'm looking forward.
I literally just finished the book before watching this trailer and all I can say is that I have no doubt that this movie will as epic and mind-blowing as the novel. Kudos for them to bring together an All-Star cast to bring the story to life.
Rear Window the female version but the person who sees the murder is a agoraphobic. Actually realized that there is a nod to another Hitchcockian film. The switch and agoraphobic makes me think of the guy afraid of heights. If you know the movie help me out.
After reading the book, all I wanted to know was how the house layout would be shown in the movie as trying to remember all the different houses along with the park was hectic to say the least. 😭
This looks awesome, and I want to see it yesterday!!!! She's probably seeing into something that happened previously, is my suspicion. Can't wait to watch this in my house, which I haven't left since 2014.
This is a book I read halfway through. Until the part where the lady is stabbed. Never got to finish it. I guess its time. I was shocked to see the same title and the presentation is pretty accurate.
OMG this is the scariest, yet most fabulous book.....I can’t wait to see the movie. I hope it stays true to the book and not go crazy..the book is amazing....the other great book is The Wife Between Us...oh my what a movie that would be.....
the plot is Hitchcock's _Rear Window_ meets 1995 thriller _Copycat_ . Not very original but really intriguing anyway. I've read the book and still would love to see this soon
I'm not sure if anybody else noticed this in the trailer, and if it's true, I am still uncertain how it would affect the movies plot overall, but at 0:05 in where Amy's character states she has an anxiety disorder, it is her voice that says, "I have an", BUT, it is clearly Julianne's character/voice who says, "Anxiety disorder". This could imply that she is as mentally unwell as Ana is. Are they conspiring together?

I Was thinking the same!

@@GamePunk327 gonna be epic then

Loll
I had to watch the trailer again to find Gary Oldman after I read his name in credits
Yeah, he's like a modern Eddie Murphy.
I did the same thing! He is by far, the greatest actor I've ever seen.
Give me examples, I'm intrigued by ur assessment of his skills...
AMY WILL SNATCH THE OSCARS!!! ITS HER TIME TO SHINE!!!!!!
Didn’t already win for american hustle?
@@npsck1802 Nope she didn't. They keep nominating her, then give it away to the second best contenders ( not all the time though).
She should have won long time ago and many times. She’s such a versatile actress. Love her.
No she won't
She’s the female Leonardo DiCaprio 😔
Her house looks EXACTLY the way I imagined it would when I was reading the book.
I really want to watch this for free. Plz tell me if you know a link
Same! The roof too! I'm so excited about the movie
agreed! super similar to what I imagined too.
This looks like an oscar worthy performance
Yeah. Deranged and hysterical women usually get that.
buzzzzz... XD
Charles 😂
The movie will be released in May 2020, it should have lost steam by 2021 Oscars. I really want her to win tho.
Charles and psychotic men. Wait, like high paid jobs and positions usually too.
prayer circle for oscars to acknowledge amy’s brilliance for once!!!!!

Eylul A, I am with you on this one. Amy is beyond brilliant!!
@@iobiekwe :((( this broke my heart :'( maybe she'll be acknowledged by other awards?? i just want people to see her outstanding talent :/
The book was enjoyable. From the trailer it looks as though they have done a decent job of adapting it for the big screen.
I agree. I enjoyed reading the book so I hope they dont mess it up or skip crucial incidents... 😁
Can you spoil it to me? Did something happened to the wife or the other girl is just high af on drugs?
Yes, the book was good!
I agree. I loved the book! Looking forward to the film adaption :)
Lissandra Freljord Seems like a movie you don’t want to be spoiled as it would ruin the mystery.
This looks like an updated version of Rear Window and I am HERE FOR IT.
Thank you, I could not think of the name of that movie.
EXACTLY!! When she picked up her camera it was the first thing that i tought!

@@lynisalive That's Vertigo, which is also directed by Hitchcock and starring Jimmy Stewart! Both are fantastic.

I can't wait to see this movie. Amy's performances are always so riveting.

Maria Illiadou YES! Serious panic room vibes and I am here for it.
Finally a trailer that doesn’t show you the whole movie!!!
Looks pretty close though. I stopped it half way.
The rooftop fight scene is literally the end of the book
Belle Toro but they don’t show you who she’s fighting
Yeah the trailer is safe to watch. There will be many twists coming our way.
Does anyone know where to find the movie it’s not on hulu or Netflix or movie prime
I'm here for Amy Adams and Julianne Moore, love them! :D
Why am I thinking Hitchcock? Because this looks like a masterpiece!!!
Or because it looks like a mix of "Vertigo" and "Rear Window".
Warrior1Spartan My thoughts exactly.

I clicked for Julianne Moore and Amy Adams. Then Jennifer Jason Leigh showed up. No regrets in clicking. Wow!
I paused after half the trailer, don't want the movie to get spoiled haha

It won't. There's a lot more to the movie (if they're faithful to the book) then this trailer shows.

What a great Birthday present for myself! I am so excited!
This is a book I read halfway through. Until the part where the lady is stabbed. Never got to finish it. I guess its time. I was shocked to see the same title and the presentation is pretty accurate.
Seeing Amy Adams without make-up in this movie is a new challenging role for her most actress wouldn't be caught dead on screen without it
David Hall um? Not necessarily? This is misogyny disguised as a compliment lmao
What? That makes no sense. Shes without makeup in the majority of her movies bro.
what are you talking about lol
@@sabinah8313 Well i couldn't say seeing Amy Adams without make-up is horrifying enough 😆
