Not sure if anyone else posted this, but you can hold down the paraphonic button and press the keys in your chord, and then it duplicates that chord across the keys for one hand performance 🙂 I love the freak, it's such a great tool
Nice taking on the one-synth challenge! And to think you are doing this without a DAW...basically switched on hard mode. Awesome stuff! Digging what you did with the bass.
It was a lot of fun to work with in the constraints of the KO. I'm not a big fan of using DAWs anyway, something about a mouse and keyboard just kind of put me off of music production lol
I'm a bit behind on watching my FB vids....love this one. It was fast paced showing more real time work flow. I generally like slow paced videos with step by step how to info, that kind of pace... really helps me learn and understand. Gar is awesome... Oh and most importantly, you reminded me of how amazing the K.O. is!
Great video, I've been playing with my Mircofreak with a zoom cdr and looper pedals as its all battery operated with a usb pack its almost go anywhere. Just like you still learning the sounds even after a year and a bit, the freak has too many oscillator options compared to learning my bassstation2.
@@FreeBeat Have you tried playing drums through the voccoder yet? I got the 3 ring headset Y-spliter 3.5mm audio cable, £3 in the UK. That's quite fun too
Anyone tried using the Microfreak to send click to the PO? I have found it doesnt work, Sync mode 2 is the correct setting but the PO plays a stuttered rhythm starting and pausing over and over again. Sync mode 4 works except you get a giant hiss out of the PO. The reverse (PO sync into MF) did not work at all, the MF isnt recognizing the PO sync.
Im getting alot more noise and off sounds when i run the MF thru the PO. Doesnt seem to happen with any other audio sources. Any idea what it might be?
@@stonedapesociety5628 To sample (record) just hold the record button down, pick which slot (numbers 1-16) you want to record into, and then hold the corresponding number. To erase, select your sound to erase (sound + number). Then hold record and tap the sound button to erase it
I read my microphone and my synths into the h5, and then just record to an SD card! It makes it super easy to sync everything up while editing the videos. Thanks for watching :)
I watched that 4 producers on the freak. Rachel's construction was jaw-dropping awesome. I'll tell you what tho, those DAW artists slice and dice [microfreak joke nyuk nyuk] the sounds so bad, you could sample anything for them to use. Their world is so far from mine. also the keyboard on my freak has failed. the touch bleeds to every touch surface around where i touch. at first i thought it was the software because it started after i put in the vocoder version, but it was still funky after i put the version 2 back in.
@@JTMS i have been pondering your idea, so i reloaded V2.1 and took the freak upstairs to the kitchen where it is more humid. i washed my hands and half-assed dried them. The freak worked perfectly. SO, now i have it back in the basement music room doing a 24hr burn to see if my problem was humidity or a heat related failure. If it fails, i will take it back to the kitchen and see how it behaves. i'll keep you posted. thx 4 the suggestion that made me think about some things
@@jjrusy7438 All good tests. My hands get pretty dry, and when I dont moisten them my freak goes crazy on me. bending pitches and notes and all kinds of crazy stuff.
I love how you have a sweet new Freak and you make the beat on a broken calculator. Good stuff my dude.
I love my little broken calculator hahaha. Thanks for watching!

Yeah! Such a simple little feature but a very convenient one. Thanks for watching!
NGL, I was skeptical at the beginning of this video. It REALLY all came together! I loved this!
Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching!

Yeah with the broken screen I didn't want to stop a bunch and explain lol. Thanks as always!
Hey man, keep up the videos. I'm learning along with you and your my go to fit a lot of things.
Glad you're enjoying the videos, thanks for watching!
Dude...the freak rules! Maybe an idea for a upcoming show "freaking out with the microfreak" yes.
Ooh that could be a fun concept!
@@FreeBeat yup, with some killer arps and sequences, strobe lights, oh boy.
This is the perfect combo :D
Hope to see more microfreak - po33 in the future :D
Great fun watching this. Thanks 😊

dope baseline.

I had no idea that you can use the melodic slots to make drum banks on the Po!
It's definitely a neat little trick they don't tell you about, thanks for watching!

Will you be doing tutorials with the microfreak? Asking for a friend 😅
