  • Exploring out into Glen Dye for a little there and back again to the Charr Bothy. All fully accessable from the road, this XC/gravel route has some high speed landy tracks and some tiff climbs close to hand. And whilst vehicle accessable, has a remote feelign which can be hard to find safely during lockdown.

Liking the handlebar mount my friend - also, I appreciate the thoughts on using "less than the best" equipment. I ride a hardtail, and generally always have, and I take a probably inaccurate sense of pride in that - I like to pretend that were I to jump on and get used to a full sus, my Strava times and, more importantly, my ability to drop those I'm riding with, would improve a lot. It's probably not true, but it removes some of that "need" to spend and puts more "need" on just riding, which is what we all want.

Hey man! 😁 Yeah agreed, you like to think you'd be faster and on some stuff I definitely am faster on the big bouncey bike, but if it's groomed man made trails a hardtail is always my weapon on choice!

Stereotypical American here- everything about your naming and titling is so confusing lol. I’m guessing it’s a Scottish thing? Love the vids nonetheless 👍

Ha! Yeah I think even some Scots ate confused by my titles and naming!! Glad your enjoying the vids and thanks for commenting! A Bothy is a small mountain shelter/house that is freely open for anyone to use. They are all over the Scottish mountains but most are not on the map. Most are maintained either by a society of volunteers, but they are super simple and rugged inside, so next to no furniture, rough stone walls that sort of thing. And bombing is when your just going fast! "Bombing along".
