@@iagoArgentinaCABJ absolutely it’s a GREAT shame the two of them missed out. I can understand the Makelele omission as they’d back then ready established defensive anchor midfielders the likes of Karembeu, Petit & of course the skipper Didier Deschamps but Cantona’s stubbornness costed him a World Cup medal as Aimé Jacquet asked Eric to come & plays as Striker #9 but he declined the offer (mistake of his life)

Barça fan here. Prime Makelélé's (2000-2004) contribution was at 1 point in time the X factor of Real Madrid's success. Simply put, Real performed, as he performed. A BOSS in the midfield. The key piece of that Galacticos squad. Top 3 DMF of all-time with Rijkaard and Matthäus IMO. Never got the well-deserved recognition and respect from the club's front office though. What a pity...Should of came to Barça instead

Claude est meilleur car il a été au top du top toute sa carrière dans tous les clubs où il est passé... à Nantes il était exceptionnel, à Madrid essentiel et à Chelsea indiscutable... je ne lui vois qu’une seule ombre au tableau (le match contre Monaco en 2004 à Louis II où il fut détestable et mauvais joueur).
