Hey all, its been a while! I thought I'd dust the cobwebs to made this video for anyone wanting to sit the AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security Technologies Exam in 2023! Right after the refresh in February this year... Not so great timing on by behalf! If you have sat the exam or are planning to, let me know your tips and your thoughts on the exam, comment below! @@SomeoneElsesCloud It was fair. I had 55 questions and 100 minutes. My time management wasn't great so after 40 minutes I noticed that I really had to speed up and I finished the exam with 2 minutes left on the clock lol. I studied for 5 weeks and had no experience with azure. I was relieved to see the PASS at the end😄
Congrats, talk about setting the bar high! No experience in Azure?? Thats awesome! The questions definately take up a lot of time, I had the same realisation near the end of the exam and finished with like 8 mins or something! Nice work!

My employer wants me to get this cert in 30 days. I have no other Azure certifications. Wish me luck speedrunning this shit whilst working full-time.

I passed with 818/1000 points 🎉
No labs, one case study.
I only learned by studying flash cards which I created from the examtopics dump.
Honestly for 80% of the questions I only did an educated guess. Was really surprised that I actually got it lmao.
@@vesicapiscis9717 Nice work, congrats! It's really just logical problem solving, you start getting to know what Microsoft expect as an answer! Goes to show what it really means with people with a lot of certs that they flash all over LinkedIn... 🫣
Thanks for sharing! I am currently studying for AZ-500 at the moment. Did you get any labs on the exam or was it just use-cases? Also, did you do any hands-on studying for it or just relied on your experience? TIA!
Their are no labs just case studies.
Hi, nope I didn't get any labs but I heard some other people did! No I didn't do any hands on studying, I was comfortable with most things, it was more learning about licenses and features of services I was not familiar with! Good luck with the exam!

Failed this twice but now im back studying...gotta get this
Man that's unlucky! Have you done this since the recent changes? They give access to MS Learn during the exams now, not really sure if it helps or just creates more pressure trying to find stuff in it!! 😅
no was start of year and i gave up for a while. im now back studying az500 as i want it done by new year as plan to try cyber security next@@SomeoneElsesCloud
Just failed it for the 3rd time, given it I'm CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, CISM. AZ-500 is the hardest exam I have ever taken.
Oh man, even with the learn content being available? What do you think we're the challenges? Do you look at the post exam report to show your weak points?
@SomeoneElsesCloud worried I forgot most I got right now so a restudy and work on the areas flagged.. but at a stage that hard to get my mojo back now.. not feeling it no more
I’m sitting the MD 102 Endpoint Administrator exam tomorrow. I am not very confident because I was limited to setting up labs for windows devices but not Apple and Android as those require I have an incorporated company and a DUNS number.
We’ll see how it goes.

What are the case studies?
oh man its been a while, I cannot remember for the life of me... I know it was 5 questions right at the end... All i really remember was it was based on users, not sure if it was the conditional access and mfa / device auth question or not... i.e if user x is in this location, do they get challenged for mfa and then if user with this device from another location will get prompted or not... Doesn't really help but be prepared! lol
I'm tempted to just move on to Google cyber and security +
Fair enough, maybe you should go ahead and do that and see if you feel like tackling it again or not once doing something different!
This exam is way easier than you made it sound.
True, I mean I passed out by barely studying over 2 weeks. It's like any exam, preparation or experience definately makes it easier.
