Saturday of the Fourteenth Week in Ordinary TimeIsaiah 6:1-8Psalm 93:1ab, 1cd-2, 5Matthew 10:24-33
Biblical: This week's gospels focus on the apostles' mission.
Last Monday, Jesus started the week by healing the woman suffering hemorrhages for 12 years and raising the daughter of the official from the dead.
Come Tuesday, Jesus drove out the demons from the mute man and taught in the synagogues about the Kingdom of God, for Jesus was moved with pity for them and thought that they were like sheep without a shepherd.
After showing examples about the mission of Jesus, Last Wednesday, Jesus called his 12 apostles and sent them on a similar mission. (This is what Jesus meant by saying, “The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few.”) Maraming dapat gawin ngunit kakaunti ang manggagawa, kaya’t tinawag niya ag kaniyang mga alagad para makatulong niya sa misyon. He gave them the authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and cure every disease and illness.
Thursday, after giving the apostles the power and authority to perform their mission, Jesus reminded them and said, “without cost you have received, without cost you are to give.” This was the way of Jesus to tell them that everything they received was a blessing. So there’s no reason for them not to perform the task given to them and share the blessings with others that they received.
Friday was also a reminder for the apostles not to worry about how they are to speak or what they are to say, for they will be given what they are to say. Jesus would just want to assure his apostles that they should not worry about anything because everything will be provided for them, even the words that they say. Basta’t gawin lang nila ang lahat para sa Diyos.
Today, Jesus is leaving another reminder to his apostles about what they are to expect on the mission by telling them, “No disciple is above his teacher, no slave above his master.” It is simply saying that whatever they will experience in their mission and whatever they will encounter, they should not be discouraged because Jesus had experienced and encountered such before they did.
Reflection: Sa lahat ng ito, ipinapakita sa atin ni Hesus na ang bawat isa sa atin ay tinatawag niya sa isang misyon. Iba’t iba man tayo ng buhay o estado, maging bokasyon, ang bawat isa ay may misyon. Ito ay ang ipalaganap ang Mabuting Balita sa lahat.
Isa ka mang ina o ama, sa iyong pamilya ipakilala ang Mabuting Balita.
Sa opisina o trabaho bilang empleyado ang aral ng Mabuting Balita nawa ay isabuhay.
Bilang estudyante o simpleng kristiyano, ang mga pangaral ni Hesus ay aralin at matutunan.
Hindi magiging madali ang lahat, kaya nga inuunahan na ni Hesus ng paalala; “huwag tayong matakot.” Dahil ang lahat ng pagdadaanan natin, pinagdaanan na ni Hesus. Lahat ng mararanasan natin, una nang naranasan ni Hesus. Kaya’t pinapaalala sa atin na walang ibang makakatulong sa atin kundi si Hesus.

1-CORINTHIANS-4-Verse-1-You so should think of us as Christ servants,who have been put in charge of Gods secret truths.Verse -2-The one thing required of such servants is that they be faithful to their master.Verse-3-Now,i am not at all concerned about being judged by you or by any human standard.I dont even pass judgment on my self.
